I just changed the oil and right after I filled it with new oil I found this

I got 97000 miles out of this water pump, I guess that's good.
I guess I will go ahead and change the radiator hoses while I have the coolant drained.

Mine didn't last nearly that long.  It looks like it is leaking out of the weep hole.  Complete pump replacement is in order.

Im on 140K on the original pump.  I have a new one for that eventual day but so far...knock on wood, its good.

All I can say is that if you would have been cleaning that thing every once in a while you would have caught the crusted antifreeze and not wasted a good oil change.  Sorry couldn't help it

The bottom of the engine gets cleaned once a year in November the rest of the time I am riding.
Oh and about once a month I try to keep the chrome clean.
My bike is never the cleanest in our riding group.
