I do feel pessimistic about this message enduring. 
If you have not seen an ill loved one or you experience this illness first hand, in a couple of days this message will dissolve into the

i'm at the v.a. hospital several times a week doing what I can for the vets. I volunteer with the DAV when they need me, how many of you realize the average vet waits 5 to 7 years while the v.a. messes with his claim for compensation? not for medical care, that usually happens pretty quick (regardless of what you hear in the news) but the compensation for injuries received while in the military.

its a sad state of affairs. we need to ask what a politicians voting record on veterans is and vote accordingly, they sent us off to war when we were kids, promising care if we were hurt. 'THEY PROMISED" no vet should have to wait for years to get what his country owes him. no vet should need the care every illegal alien can get, and not be able to get it. no vet should ever be homeless, hungry, or poor.

you want to thank them for their service ? vote for people who really care about them. vote for politicians who love the country and constitution as much as we did.

Like Mr. Whittle submits, it is beyond a political issue. It is about you, me, the next guy's willingness to contribute our positive energies
on behalf of our neighbors, on behalf of our children. On behalf of mankind, a basic Christian principle (no sarcasm intended).
To get sucked into the usual political diatribes denies the validity of this thread.
