Jess from VA

Sad but true.

I spend the entire summer in a pair of sweat shorts only. (only put on more when I go beyond my property.... or go after yellow jackets)

It's not attractive, but I let the neighbors look anyway.

jshram

Bwa-hahahaha... speedo days are LONG gone fellas... praise the Lord.... shorts to my knees and a T-shirt at the lake.. to protect myself from the SUN.. yeah.. that's it.. I'm concerned about skin cancer so I need to cover up... uh-huh....

Do we need to put this to a vote?  I'd have to vote yes.  I understand the skin cancer thing, I have an 8" scar on my left fore arm, the result of melanoma being carved off.

Willow

I don't know what's wrong with you guys.  I still look good without a stitch.  Not so good as I used to but thankfully with age my standards have dropped.

Well at least I know I feel good without a stitch.   :)

Stanley Steamer

I'm the Exception to that song........ :cooldude:....

Interesting how we fixate.  When I approach the mirror in the morning it always surprises me not to see that twenty-something tear old kid.   :(

Thats reminds me of a Christmas party years ago. It was at a place that had those big windows with the mirrored stuff . Inside at night looking out was like a mirror. I kept getting a glimpse of some bald guy (luckily not too fat at that time). Then I realized it was ME. From that point on I couldn't be in denial anymore  :D

I'm with ya Willow. I cant believe the bod burns out around 1400 on saturday. I still have things to do and am usually having fun. I see myself as 24ish, great shape and able to run and climb...
60 is coming up real fast and as I look back at the stuff I used to do, well, some times I amaze myself and some stories freak the wife out.
Up side, I can afford a better swig than I could, at 24ish.

I well remember when I first realized things were changing. We were watching a family video. The camera panned past me sitting with my back to the camera and I thought "who is that bald guy?"
"Extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice.
And... moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue.''
-- Barry Goldwater, Acceptance Speech at the Republican Convention; 1964

Robert

I think that this is the theme song if I had a vote, as a side note I remember when I was a kid looking at my parents at the beach drinking and having fun at 40 wondering if I would ever make it to be that old. I look at the lifestyle of those who were that old and at that time and say we are doing more achieving more and living life well past those in the past had considered life done with. Riding at 60 are you kidding, that would have been the mentality back then, well I guess some things do change for the better. My hats off to everyone here, we still live the American dream maybe with less hair or youth but with more wisdom and more love of life, knowing the truth of things and the will to live. More than even those in their 20,s, we are the boomers and we continue to change the thinking of retirement, life and old. My congratulations men to you all we trully live the dream and are game changers on the front of life.

To my way of thinking, there is only one theme song.  Romeo Foxtrot, shall we dance?
