comfort on the 1800

I've run four or five tanks of gas through the new Valkyrie, and I can't
get used to these things... (they're on the classifieds now)



These Kuryakyns seem like they might do the trick... I went over the hill to
Clayton Georgia yesterday to test them out (and to try to find Wimp and Joe and
Britman, I was there a half hour too soon)... and back by way of WarWoman road
and hwy 28...



They were adjusted a little differently yesterday than they are in the picture...
they were a little too high and a little too far away... I adjusted them as they are
in the picture today and rode around the neighborhood, I think this might do it 

I also tilted my backrest a little forward, and that helped get the bars closer to me.

Right after I got done with the adjustment, my neighbor's loud friends showed up

Keep fine tuning Mike you'll get it eventually just like you did on the red and white.  I sympathize with you on the noisey neighbors.  Some people with more money than brains bought some former paper company land near me and built an airport.  They just love their ultralights and one of them even has one of the things in your picture.  He keeps practicing hovering.  Let's just say I don't like it and leave it at that.

I've only seen the helicopter a couple of times, I posted the
picture because it strikes me as funny to have a helicopter
land next door... I'm lucky to have great neighbors that I get
along with well, so they can bring over their helicopters anytime   ...

Unfortunately, if you have neighbors who are into flying, the most
important thing about flying is spending a lot of time taking off
and landing...

It will probably rain on me on the way home, but I rode to work today
to try out the new peg position... it still seems great 
Black Kuryakyn 3995 pegs, I'm 5-11...

To maximize this "comfortable" position, I've adjusted the backrest
to move me just a tiny bit forward on the triangular shaped OEM seat.
Sitting further away from the base of the triangle and closer to
the point of the triangle is not optimal  ... but it is getting better.
