I do not put my Valkyrie into many bike shows, in fact this was the first ever.  But last Wednesday, I decided to give it a try, competing with bikes and trikes, some of which cost over four times what I have in Lady Val.  Individual voting among 80 riders, most of whom were on Harley's, determined the result.  Last evening, at the national conference banquet of the MMCI, I was awarded the overall People's Choice Award of the bike show.  That's pretty cool for a bike that was painted in October of 1997, and now has 88,000+ miles on the odo.

What might have cinched it was that I did the nickel demonstration several times, once while an Ultra Classic was idling next to my '98 Tourer.  That sight could not have been more perfect, watching that HD jump around while the nickel stands on edge, even when that F6 is revved past 4000 RPM.  BTW, I do not call it a nickel trick because there is no trickery involved.

I just had a great week in Wisconsin Dells.

congrats,  head a little further south about 1 hour drive into New Glarus WI  in next week or so and there is a local car/truck/cycle show about 5 miles from my house.

I'd enter, but that would mean I would have to go outside in the 90 degree humid heat and actually clean the old girl up.  Plus, go find a nickel or quarter or dime -  :cooldude:
