Yep, i was a politician for 14 years. No one here could faze me after what I had to put up with,
As a city councilman, i once was called a traitor by people NOT LIVING IN THE CITY and this was only two weeks after my wife died.

Too many people associate those arseholes in DC with local elected in small towns.

Wayne, there is a real possibility that there is not that much difference in local small town politicians and some of the assholes in Washington but what we see is different because of the difference in the issues with which they deal and with the compromises they believe they have to make.  We also tend to view a lot of the politicians in Washington as assholes because we didn't elect most of them.

I think you've nailed a real truth there. That is also why even when congress has such a low approval rating, the same bunch keeps being elected. (Definition of pork: Government money that goes to other districts.)
