The last great colosseum... No doubt the best place to watch a NASCAR race.... Before my friend Edro died we hit just about all the races within 500 miles of Bristol and as stated for a fan nothing holds a candle to being inside Bristol Motor Speedway  . I've rode my Suzuki Bandit 1200 S and two of my Valkyries on Bristol .... What a RUSH.

I've seen alot of people that thought they were cool , but then again Lord I've seen alot of fools.

Can't be packed.  It is blacked out on tv.  We get east coast tv feed on direct tv, and we cannot watch it here in ND!  Sucks.

It's on ABC and free here you could get it with a antenna and some aluminum foil .

Watching the race on my local ABC right now. There are about 15 TV markets that are not showing on Local ABC due to football or other reasons - there is an ESPN Alt channel for them.

Don't watch much racing anymore, but Bristol is the one to watch or attend. Watched some of it, great finish.

FYI- Tennessee Volunteers are scheduled to play Virginia Tech Hokies at the Bristol speedway in Sept. 2016. Expected largest crowd attendance record for football, IF they sell it out.

We can only hope the " brick by brick " gets the Vols back on track if not and they SUCK again this year folks won't attend like they think. Everyone that follows the SEC know's D and a good quaterback wins games.... We " STILL " have nothing in that department  :-\

Friday nite, me and a couple of friends hopped on the bikes and rode to Bristol for the race, we hit heavy rain coming home, we didn't get in till 2 in the morning...A real heart breaking loss for Kyle Busch...even will the rain the place was about 1/3 full...we looked for the Grit Chip truck but didn't see it there, we would have liked to stop in and see Britman... :cooldude:

I went to The VRCC Cheaha Mountain Rally every year for 9 or 10 years and by far the very best year is when we rode Talledega Super Speedway. I remember going into turn 4 and looking down at 120 mph but my best memory is while going into this turn I look damn near straight up the track near the wall and see Wizard looking down at me and giving me alittle wave.... That was so cool and yes... What a RUSH.

Coot and I held back and rode last apart from one rider who kept the "safety" guys held up.

I was doing 135 on the long straight and Coot came by on his Concours14 like I was standing still  ;D

I bet Joe your Valk and looks to be a few other Valks held their own and then some against those V-twins?

I'd probably consider doing 120 mph top speed on my I/S on a racetrack full gear and all but 135 mph would be pushing the top speed of the Valk for sure.

I've seen some crazy crotch rockets doing well over 135 and I call them organ donors for sure.  I mean over 170 mph on a cycle is just plain crazy not too many people have the cahooneys to even consider such speeds in a car let alone on a cycle.

You are just as dead at 120 as you would be at 170 if you go down :crazy2: just sayin :coolsmiley:

I've never felt more alive than I did going into turn 4 at 120 mph at Talledega on a motorcycle.
