The Army says early reports indicate that a female soldier turned a gun on herself and fired one shot, injuring herself, on a central Virginia base.

I was stationed there for two years back in the early 90's and it was no different back then, except now the streets of Ft. Lee are patroled by rent a cops instead of MP's.
