Elk River Falls.  Not hard to get to, about a 30 foot drop.  Lot better photo from the
bottom, but I didn't want to climb back up.

Kinda muddy today but that didn't keep the kids out.

Saw this little house on the way in.  Lots of signs for going nowhere.

Would you put this sign in front of your business?

I just looked up that area on google maps... Its near Roan Mountain, I've been there
a couple of times. It seems like there's a lot of good roads there, 173, 226, 143...
Is Elk River Road a good road? Joe and them probably know those roads like the
backs of their hands, but it still looks like a good area to explore  :cooldude:

I think the last time I was at Elk River Falls I was riding a 750 Super Sport not even sure if I remember how to get there.... Sounds like a roadtrip  :cooldude:  I figured you would join us on The Mason Dixon Ride this weekend Lee up to Pennsylvania :-\

I've seen alot of people that thought they were cool , but then again Lord I've seen alot of fools.

I would like to go Joe, but I can't make it this time.
Elk River Falls is 4 miles out of Elk Park.  Just watch for the signs across from the
Fire Hall.  Road is paved all the way but its a slow ride.  Some bad places but plenty
of room to get around them.  Gravel parking lot at the end. 2 min walk to the top of the
falls.  Buck Mt. Road is a short but good back road to take.
194 from Banner Elk to Valle Crucis is an outstanding road.
Have a good ride.  Wish I could go.
Heading up to Highbinder's area today.  Will be on 16 from Volney toTazwell.

Know where this is?

No, the one that I know of is near Silver Lake WV, along RT219.  After I posted I thought that the last time I saw it it was painted white.  It appeared to be built from the same plans though.

better the rump than the chest.  I dove off once a 10 foot high dive in high school thinking no problem. Well, I never rotated enough and landed on my chest//gut dead on with the water doing a gut/chest drop.  OUCH.  I had to get rescued took the wind right outta me and was in severe pain couldn't breath for awhile and was darn near crying gut/chest was totally red.  What a wuss I was.  :'( :'(
