I don't know the whole story, but when I read this, my first thought is a guy commits murder, then decides he has a chance at better long-term accommodations if he's crazy.

On the other hand.......... Oberhansley was convicted of manslaughter in the 1998 shooting death of his then-girlfriend, 17-year-old Sabrina Elder, in suburban Salt Lake City just days after the birth of their son.

He needs a firing squad crazy or not.
