Driver's peg lowering kits

I got caught up with my pipe work, returned from a road trip, took care of some more pipe orders and finally got the time to have my plasmacam guy make the changes needed to cut some peg lowering kit plates.  They are now on hand, I am powder coating them and will have kits ready by the weekend. They are quarter inch steel, support two footpeg positions, and install with just hand tools.  The kit is $69 + $12 priority mail.  I'm also working this fall on the web site (ordered the software I think will work).  Don't have a cart on the site now, or more info on the kits yet - just call in or email.  Contact info at http://www.horseapple.com/

There was a set on a Valk I brought back to life nearly three years ago. Before I sold it I traced it out on a manilla folder, then checked with a few places to see what they wanted to cut some out for me to sell. The price was out of sight so I dropped the plan, still have the tracing to use if ever needed. Good luck on your project Mark.

I'm 6' 3" with 32" inseam and these proved invaluable to make the bike fit like a glove.  Before I got these, I alwasy felt both "perched" on top of and "cramped" with legs bent too aggressively.

The kit from Mark T is eloquently simple and well executed.  Worth every penny!!

One of my bigger mistakes was to take off the lowering kit and sell it when I first got my Valk in 2013.
I was trying to get it back to stock.
Years later, I now want a lowering kit and hope that Mark will ship to Canada.
Look forward to hearing more, the price seems fair.

Why are you guys lowering the pegs? I have highway foot pegs which let me stretch out but I kind of like having my feet under me in more aggressive driving situations. Also I don't want to scrap the foot pegs, I have come close on the Valkyrie.

Do whatever you like but you are decreasing your lean angle which makes me a little nervous. I spent a lot of time on sport bikes so a Valkyrie stock is way more comfortable then anything remotely like a sport bike. I don't know who else on here is pressing a Valkyrie for performance but these bikes handle well for a big ass bike. These Valkyries are almost flickable which is not normal for a cruiser. The more I ride my Valkyrie the more impressed I am with this 20 year old cruiser. Terrified to go down a dirt road but this bike isn't meant for that.

Just wondering because I have a 34 in seam and find the riding position comfortable and aggressive in city traffic or when I'm pushing the bike. Feels great to me. When riding open spaces the highway pegs kick in and I go recliner riding. LOL. I'm not seeing the reason to drop the pegs?

34" inseam here as well, but 7 knee surgeries total; 1 on the left and 6 on the right. Every little bit helps.

It doesn't seem like a couple inches would make much difference, but they do. They will scrape sooner, no doubt. But for me they are worth it. As far as dirt roads, the Valkyrie does just fine on them. Soft sand or deep gravel is a different story. I wish somebody had got a pic of 20 some odd of us going up a dirt hill in Roanoke.

 I'm not fond of sparks.  I took mine off Ruby and sold 'em cheap.

I mainly purchased the IS for two-up comfort trips.  We're not tiny people, and there are enough twists around here that I still touch down often enough when solo and more so when two-up -- but not on almost every corner now!

After having a knee replacement, I found that it was uncomfortable, with some pain, trying to use the oem peg setting. I put the peg lowering kit on, which also moved the pegs forward a little, and have had no problems now. When the wife and I went to a Valkyrie Trike, the lowering kit went too. Gave my bumble bee to my son, he's 6'2", and he does not need the kit.

I really try to avoid any dirt, sand or loose anything on the Valkyrie. Maybe I'll go find some hard packed dirt to give it ago.Probably better to get some practice in before I end up some place with no other choice. Except for a couple of oyster shell parking lots and my front yard I haven't tried the bike out on any loose surface, just seems scary to me. Have to say I have gotten my turning radius down to about as tight as this bike will go. That worried me for a couple of months till I got the hang of it. Just doesn't look cool if you have to stop and make a K turn.

After looking at mine on the side stand leaning, maybe a inch but two nah. As mentioned a little can go long way. I do get cramping from time to time so I carefully stretch my legs over the valve covers for a few moments. Haven't liked highway pegs locations due to the said valve covers getting damage and they just look fugly. Still looking at options that can stay into the parameters of the engine guards w/o causing damage but so far, my mind is on "blank" mode. Hell the weather/wind has been so dicey here..... need I say more.
