Carb adjustment.

I have a 97 Valkyrie. I had it dynoed and set up for riding in Colorado a few years back. I just moved to Georgia for a new job. Since I got here the gas mpg has dropped off. I is down in the 26  mpg from around 32mpg that I got in Colorado. I am wondering if it is due to the altitude change and that it may be running lean now.

Altitude alone should not cause that big of a drop off in MPG. Check to see if you are dragging a cylinder or two...no spark, no fuel are the usual suspects. Pull the plugs to see if they all look consistent. Nothing wet or overly tan/white colored. Wet means no spark, light coloration means starved for fuel.

32 isn't very good: 26 is very bad. We need to know what has been done to the bike. Pipes, carb adjustments, K&N filter, etc.  I get 37 at 70 MPH and recently freeway construction has slowed me down. My last tank was 39 MPG.

If it's eatin' fuel, I would sooner think it's running rich. JMHO!

High altitude settings require the pilots to be reset .5 turn, so just to run properly at lower altitudes try setting the pilots back to 2.25 turns [ 35 jets].
