This is very compelling and very moving, especially given her age.

Even after recently facing my own cancer ordeal (for the second time), I'm not sure I'd be able to do what she is going to do.

And again, after going through what I just went through, I'm NOT afraid to die, I'm really not (I pretty much already did)....but what terrifies me more than anything at this point, is going though what I went though again (waking up paralized) and waking up and finding that the paralisis that I esperienced is permanent.  That scares me more than dying.

But I'm just not sure that I could pull the plug on myself.

I can understand her decision, but I just don't know if I could come to the same conclusion as her.

God speed Brittany.

Been through it once myself. It is a rough decision.  Bless her.
Woops, I'm sorry.

It's a brave decision to make.   She is able to decide and also to say all the things she wants to say to her loved ones, which many do not have the opportunity to do.

Heart breaking in any way I look at it.  Prayers for this young lady and her family being raised.

When I thought I had a good chance at serious cancer, I remember having the thought that if it was something like she has I didn't want to rot away until the bitter end.  I wont do that to my loved ones.

As I said, I'm not afraid to die....and I'm not afraid of the pain anymore either.  What I am afraid of is being totally dependent and totally immobile.

However, as compelling as her story is, I still can't get past the fact that this is still suicide regardless her circumstance.  That's supposed to be a sin.

I guess I'm on the fence.
