Oil Leak

Noticed some oil leak on my garage floor.  Never had this happen before with owning Valks for 10 years and I was surprised to see it.
Got under the bike and checked around and saw where the oil was running down the case--not a big leak but enough.  Tightened up all the bolts and wiped off the oil, started it up and got under the bike again to see if I fixed the problem.   I didn't see any leakage but when I was getting up off the floor I noticed the filler cap didn't look right.  Sure enough, the cap was about a 1/4 turn loose and I guess that was enough to allow the oil pressure to find its way there.
The moral of the story I guess is to check the filler cap from time to time .  Hope this reminder helps someone.

The real moral of the story is:

Valkyries dont leak oil

So, if you see oil, look for things like loose filler caps first before assuming the worst and tightening already torqued engine casing bolts......but its just a matter of point of view I suppose......

Glad you dont have a problem

Never experienced it, but from what I've heard, might get a small leak from the shifter seal....An easy fix to replace the seal.
Never give up!
