Goldwing GL1500 members recommend that the clutch slave cylinder should be opened up and cleaned.
rebuild kits avail.

Yes. I had to remove the side stand. I bought the whole slave cylinder and a new seal. Easy job.
Go online and get the price and part # and see if the dealer will match the price. Most do, they
would rather make a few bucks rather than  $0.00 plus they can have it in 2-3 days and no
shipping.

Symptoms described on the Goldwing forum look like clutch rivet(s) parting company, as a few Goldwing owners  mention.  Original post on Valk forum does not suggest a reason for replacing the slave . . . just inquiring of the difficulty.
