Can you help I need VRCC History of how it all began

I have a request
VRCCUK  have have been assisting  some Media Study University Student's
on their University Project , the theme they have chosen is a Documentary on the VRCC and the Valkyrie
They Filmed our Event last Year in Torquay and this Years European Inzane here in the UK

I have given them our History of setting up VRCCUK,they have requested to find the History
of the VRCC in the USA,how it all began

Also they have requested Honda's story of The Valkyrie,how it came into production
I remember at one time you had the History with Joe Boyd etc. on your web site
any information you can gather for them they would be most grateful

Any mention of the VRCC would have to include Lamont Bryden, who was VRCC member #1.

Someone may feel free to correct me, but I think Gale(Oz) and Lamont co-founded the VRCC.

LaMont was indeed VRCC #1, Gal (Oz) #2.

As the club became more popular and difficult to manage additional owners or "principles" were brought in to keep things running smoothly and to facilitate the rallys and daily operations.

Over time these folks have included Mark and Lynn from CAT Specialties, Rob and Daryl Weber from SoCal, Connie and Michael, myself, Scott from OK, Willow and Motomomma and Damon (Misfit).

Gale Scalzi founded the VRCC and asked me to co-edit it with him around 1998-99.  I declined as I was too busy with my pipes business.  He offered the same to Lamont Bryden, (who had joined immediately when the club was founded, hence his lowest member # - still don't get why Gale didn't take #1) who was looking to sell his welding business and get into computing.  He accepted and they co-partnered the editing/management of the club from the left coast until a few years later Gale bought Lamont out when he wanted to move to Tennessee.  Lamont took the skills he had learned here to start up several bike forums from his new digs.  Around 98 I co-founded the VOA with 2 other principles then 2 of us left due to a management disagreement and the remaining principle drove it into the ground - managed to avoid jail time for a lottery fraud.  That org was reorganized and renamed to the VOAI and still exists today.

hoping someone will get back to me as we are running out of time
the Film is almost completed and we just need to add the History of the VRCC and  how it all began to the film
if we can get this story the Students can complete the project

Well back in the beginning, there was several boards sponsored by hal greenlee, when hal decided the valk was a dead end he abandoned ship. Hal kept gl1800riders and a few other sites going then he retired before the recession hit in or soon after it did, many dealers went out of business shops are closed down that were once active etc.   Lamont had his nitro super charged beast, that really got a lot of folks looking at the valk.  I still have one myself.   Lamont and hal and a few others went on a few rides, one during Sturgis was at custer, another to Sturgis on suzukis etc.   Most of the guys I met up with do not ride valks, RJ is still here, he was leader of the iowa bunch.  I met a couple guys at storm lake camp ground one time. I had my silver/black tourer then. 

I would like to see another valk come out like the original with the 1800 engine. Doubt it will ever happen
