If you're in the DFW area, you might enjoy this for this coming weekend http://www.fusiongunrange.com/ntff.html

I don't know these guys or any more than what's stated, but when it comes to motorcycles and bang sticks, I have a pretty low threshold to go try things.

I'll be riding the hill country this time, though, so if you go to this, please post a report here or on ar15.com

Hmmm.  Only about 50 miles of beautiful Texas sunshine miles from me  :cooldude:  8)

Wonder if I still have my 'get out of the house FREE' pass tucked away somewhere.

  Found it..

Nice day for a ride.   8)

Wasn't sure what to expect.  Found some very nice people who apparantly have been running this range for some time.

They just recently decided (Hence:  First Annual North Texas Firearms Fair) to expand their private club to a 'daily shooter thingy'.

The interesting part was that you could, for a fee if not a member, shoot anything from a cross-bow to a full auto!!  :o

Oh, and they had a tactical weapons course set up with multiple shooting stations where the shooter would take two shots per.  And, of course, a supervisor/safety officer closely followed shooter to each station.

I was impressed, but not surprised, by the professionalism I observed at each shooting area.  One range officer who assisted/taught the current shooter on safety and procedure along with two additional club members who watched the surrounding area making sure everybody had hearing protection and that there was no unsafe carry/use of firearms.

There were also signs posted (at a safe distance) as you approached each shooting area regarding the use of hearing protection requirements.  :cooldude:

My pictures don't do the shooting range justice.  :-[    But here's a few..

BTW -  The range is located about 1 1/2 miles down a winding dirt road ...  SINGLE LANE dirt road.  Got kinda interesting when I rounded a row of trees and met head-on with a pickup who was on his way out.:o   So after a little maneuvering from both of us, we passed.  "Like two ...",  well you know     :2funny:

Thanks for the good write up, Tom. Did you send rounds down range?
