My loving wife came to my defense a couple days ago. :)

Our new neighbor lady was sitting on the front porch with her, having a late afternoon chat....her well mannered pooch at her feet. The subject somehow got around to how well mannered he was and the lady told Rita it's good he learned his manners when he was young, then reflected on how "you can't teach an old dog new tricks." Rita told her "oh yes you can. Ever since John retired he's learned how to lay down, roll over, and play dead."  I thought the new neighbor lady was going to wet her britches she was laughing so hard, she then apologized to me for laughing. Rita just smiled! I figured it was time for me to go putz with the 1200 for awhile.  :-\

That's good. Now Sherry wants to meet Rita!
Jerry, I'd love to have the "new" folks meet her but it would have to be over here. Most days she can no longer travel farther than the local library or grocery store. Some days she feels good enough to go out for an early supper. At times her voice is so weak I often have to put my ear next to her to hear what she's trying to tell me. Makes it difficult for her to visit with anyone and she gets a little embarrassed when her voice gives out after a few minutes. It's a long story I'll share with you in person some time. Those that know her, know the person she is....and still has her sense of humor, often at my expense.  ;D

You don't seem to do much rolling over and playing dead John. You deserve to lay down though!!  ;D When I speak to Rita on the phone lately, I can tell she needs to get off pretty quick and give the phone to you. Anyone who knows her, loves her. I know I do.
I still miss her.
