Hit some backroads in TN today

Left out about 8:30 when it was clear the fog/mist wasn't burning off anytime soon and I was itching to go. Took 25W to Jellico,TN and this is how it looked heading south from there to LaFollette

When I got to LaFollette it was time for some breakfast and to warm up. I was actually ok except my fingertips were frozen numb. The obligatory food shot   Eggs, country ham and biscuit/gravy

Took 25 to Lake City,TN which has passed a vote to rename it Rocky Top but still no sign changes that I saw. Rode 25 towards Oak Ridge and took 61 to 62 to 27 North. Things were slow to warm but at least the sun came out. Next 2 shots are somewhere along 27.


Took a detour off 27 to Historic Rugby and the old mercantile/Gulf station before heading back to 27 North. They don't sell gas but have a little museum in the store and sell sandwiches, drinks etc. 2nd pic is from a previous ride before they added the pump on the island. They were closed on that trip and wanted to see inside.


And back home to mi casa

About 200 miles, just enough to hold back the voices in my head.

Next time you decide to do that, give me a holler, we can compare notes on those voices.   Most of mine are female.

Rocky Top has a trap sign over the old Lake City sign as you enter town . All the police cars also have Rocky Top on them. They are still in a legal battle over the name change.
