I think I understand you. Put a allen  wrench on the other end of the axle. You`ll have to hold it with one hand while you torque the nut. Usually after it tightens up you can let it go.

And if you can't find an Allen that will fit, use a smaller one and pull it lateral to make it hold

My problem was not having one that fit but think I figured out the problem. I knew what to do but was being retarted at the time Thanks.
