...here in New England, we enjoyed a beautiful fall day with partly cloudy blue sky and temps in the 60's

I was working on my equipment in the yard, getting stuff ready for winter, when I realized how nice it was and how close winter is.  These are the days I dream about in Jan and Feb.

I dropped what I was doing, called one of my riding buddies, who's also a Vietnam Vet, and invited him to lunch.

We got over 100 miles in, all on back roads, though several small towns.  Had lunch at Longhorn Steakhouse in Millbury, MA, his choice, and Longhorn threw in free app and desert for his service.

All in all, a great day.

Yes, it was a good day to ride, I did RT 116 for the last time this year, turned around at Charlemont, and got home just after dark.

I think it was around 40 when I rode the bike to work this morning. It was sleeting a bit when I rode home...and noticeably colder. I quit riding when they put salt down...either on the highways or the Cat parking lot. They put so much down it looks like snow.

Sorry we never got together for a ride this year, let's get together in the spring.  Or if it hits 60 again.

Rte 116 is a great ride especially right out of Deerfield to Ashfield.  Ever hit the Ashfield Lake House?  Good place for lunch and beverages.

I ride with a bunch of HD riders, but I don't mind waiting for them.

Not really, they keep up no problem, and one has a super charged beauty he claims gets 130hp and I believe it.

Was low 60's up here in southern ON Canada. Hit a record for Nov 11 and I got in two separate rides with buddies smiling all the way. Topped off the gas and Seafoam just before home because you never know....the whole next week is colder than average

Try Elmer's country store in Ashfield center for the best pancakes!
I got lucky on 116, no traffic at all, was a great ride.

My riding group has dwindled to 2 buddies, one of them travels a lot, and the other one's in love, so
I'm looking forward to a ride with ya, Every valk I see now I have to look over
for chrome I "need".

Near 70 Monday when I rode!  Since then been in the low 30s during the day and into the 20s at night!  While the calendar may not show it i'ma thinkin winter be here!  AND AND AND they be callin fer dat silly assed white stuff here fer da weekend!  And the 2 cute weather gals on K Y 3 tellin me I most likely will need the cursed snow shovel this weekend.  In case anybody is interested or not I hate/despise/do not like winter. I used to like winter but something about 3 tours in the tropics changed me and I am gittin older.  Nuff bitchin fer a little bit and back to our regular scheduled political and other brand M/C bashing!! RIDE SAFE.

I rode to top off the tank Saturday, mowed/bagged leaves on Sunday, and used the snow blower to clear the 6" or so we got Monday.  Weather happens.  Without the cold it is hard to appreciate the warmth.  It mostly just sucks that riding is over until April if we are lucky up here.  Happy for everyone that can still ride.
