Thanksgiving

It was late November and An old man in Wyoming picked up the phone and called his very successful son in New York and said "Well son,  after 50 years of marriage it looks like me and your mother are going to get a divorce."    The son panicked and asked why.  The old man responded "Well, we just don't hardly ever talk to each other any more and we gripe at each other all the time so we just decided to seperate and get a divorce."    The son told his dad "Dad.....don't move out.    Just hang on till I can get there to help difuse this situation.   I'll fly out first thing in the morning."



Then the old man called his daughter in Miami, Florida who was the CEO of her own company and said  "Well ,  after 50 years of marriage it looks like me and your mother are going to get a divorce."    The daughter paniced and asked why.  The old man responded "Well, we just don't hardly ever talk to each other any more and we gripe at each other all the time so we just decided to seperate and get a divorce."    The daughter told her dad "Dad.....don't move out.    Just hang on till I can get there to help difuse this situation.   I'll fly out first thing in the morning."

The old man kicked back in his easy chair and started reading the newspaper.   His wife of 50 years passed through the room and said "Have you heard from the kids to see if they are coming to Thanksgiving Dinner tomorrow?."   The old man said "Yeah.....I just talked to each of the kids and they are both coming to Thanksgiving Dinner and this year they are buying their own plane tickets. "
