I hope some one will have an answer, on cylinders  3 & 5 has spark and compression but with the engine running removing the wires on 3 & 5 does not affect the engine while it's running.

R J

More info please.

Have you touched the exhaust headers for those 2 pipes after warming up the  engine?

Any temperature in them?

I would think RJ is more on the right track.  No heat-no fire.  If theres spark there should be fire.  But, if there is no gas then there would be no fire.

It is believable that the left bank of carbs might gum up and not the right because of the lean on the stand.

Doubt it on the coils because each coil services cylinders on both sides.

With the engine running cup your hands over the ends of both exhausts and see if the temp and pressure are equal.  Also if you start with a cold motor you can touch all three headers on the left side to see if they are heating up at the same rate.

If she starts, Its probably not electrical

Almost certainly it's not a spark issue. Has the bike sat for any length of time? Most likely plugged jets in those carbs. Might check the clamps on the carbs that they are tight (there are three for each carb) and check the vacuum lines for cracks. Might possibly be a vacuum leak of some kind, but most likely a low speed jet problem :cooldude:
