"Yeah, I didn’t think so…..Stay tuned for my upcoming article, “This is not my uncles Republican party” ….. The truth is they have both become two sides of the same corrupt coin.

Nic Hudson is not a Republican, nor a Democrat or a Libertarian, Nic Hudson is an American
."

Great piece and agree with every word.   cooldude

I'd love to hear his views on the Republican party as well as I consider myself a Conservatarian.

If you see it in print, please post a link to it as well.

I have been a Democrat my entire 40 years of working construction.   Last 4 years I have voted Republican.Just my opinion......but the Democratic Party used to be the party of the working class.   Now it is the party of those who don't want to work.

Big +1. And just a couple of years back I thought the tea party was a bunch of right wing lunatics. But the more I look at where we are as a country, and the more I listen to them with an open mind, the less whacky they sound. In fact, I really can't find a flaw in their basic logic or interpretation of the Constitution. The craziest thing I can really fault them for is the expectation that a significant number of Americans will value freedom over the perceived safety provided by an ever growing government.

Excellent article.  Glad you found it and posted it.   cooldude

What the Republicans need to get through to their collective heads is that this last midterm election vote was NOT a sweeping endorsement of the Republican party as much as it was a repulsion of the Democratic party.

If....and that's a BIG IF, the Republicans want to get serious about what they need to get started on this go around and keep people voting for them is to.....

1)  Pass a balanced budget amendment.

2)  Overhaul the tax code to make it FAIR and SIMPLE with LOWER RATES, NO loopholes for special interests, i.e....FAIR TAX.

3)  Overhaul welfare.

4)  Overhaul Medicare and Medicaid to eliminate waste, fraud and abuse.

5)   Amend Obama Care.

And those are just for starters.

I just hope they don't screw it up.....but I'm not holding my breath either.
