I've thrown a leg over one at the dealer have not test rode one but the overall looks-in my mind anywho-are difficult at best fer ME to get around. I'm happy the folks that have purchased them are glad about them. IF I had the money- 2funny-I'd be looking hard at a Can Am. RIDE SAFE.

those stats seem to be pretty much on par with what it should be, but I bet 36 is the average mpg am sure it will top out at 42 hwy. mpg if driving 55-60 mph just like our valks will do pushing 40 on the hwy. if taking an easy on the engine.

Plus,  seems pretty fast at 3.4 seconds is a rocket ship am sure our valks would be hard pressed to do under 4.0 seconds for a normal driver.

One thing might be off unless electronically controlled shut off,  125 mph is nothing really am sure the new valk will go 135 mph easily.  Anyone with a new valk want to chime in on it with a pic of the speedo at 135?

That seems a low top speed for a stripped down 1800cc Wing.

Wonder how you can wring a bit more out of it?

It's electronically limited to 125 mph. Just like the F6Bs. I understand the F6Bs can have the computer flashed and eliminate this as well as the rev limiter. I assume the same for the Valkyrie. 125 mph limit doesn't bother me. cooldude

I've had my 02 standard up to 130+ along side a VTX 1800 . I figured it was close to right since both bikes were new. 125  would have to be with a limiter.

You would think the bigger fuel injected motor of the new valks would be good for 140hp. Instead, it has the same HP as our old valks and not much more torque. Why is honda detuning it's new bikes?

To me, this is the best looking of the new Honda motorcycles and it's based on the ST which is no slouch but they've detuned it down to near sportster levels. WTH is wrong with them? I'd probably at least go test ride a CTX if it had better performance than my 17 yearold valk.

It's no wonder honda no longer publishes performance data. They're embarrassed.

I test rode the new 14 Valk  . wonderful bike I say.  Fit and finish was all there . a little more snappy  and sporty than the F6b  I thought.

some one said it once on here ----  just give us a Valkyrie like Gen 1  but with ABS + a 6th gear  is all we ask.   I agree  and add cruise control.

They raised the speed limit up here on I-90 to 80 last summer.  I asked a cop whats up with the new speed limit and when do the tickets start-- his response was --  ' we ticket at 83 '  .

I have a F6B and it feels a lot faster than my Valk. I though the Goldwings were about 117 HP.
I also had a ST1300 and that was a fun fast bike it's too bad honda dropped th HP on the CTX.
