One of the friends I've met riding my Valk posted in the Northwest board that today was the one year anniversary of his owning this wonderful machine. He went on to say what great people and friends he has met because of it. It got me to thinking of my own experience with my fellow Valkyrie riders. I bought my first Valk in November after riding my brother's the previous summer. I was hooked. That's been about 6 years ago now. Took me a long time after that to find this board, which has been the best board I've ever joined. What's really cool is, had it not been for my love of the Valkyrie, my friend (more like a brother) Gary Wood (domino1) would not own one now. The love of riding put the two of us back together after many, many years apart. There was no reason, our lives just sort of diverged for awhile. The Valkyrie brought us back together (for the rest of our lives, I'm sure!). Then, another miracle happened! Gary was riding his Valk home from work one day when another Valk rider followed him home! That yahoo is one of the finest people I've ever met and a dear, dear friend! Raymond Hill (whooray) had just moved here from Colorado and saw Gary on his Valk. Gary told him about me and my love for the bike, and the rest is history! It's funny how a slight curve in your life can cause you to end up in such a different place! I really couldn't be more grateful for the turn of events that the love of one machine has caused!
Of course, I met John Lane and his amazing wife Gina because of this machine too. And I really can't wait to see where these two wheels will take me next, and the friends I'll meet and make because of them.
It really is true, "you meet the nicest people on a Honda".

I to have met a LOT of folks due to the machine that let me into her life!  Roll Eyes I've been fortunate to share wind and break bread with a lot of fine people here on this board because of/due to the common thread of Valkyries in particular and riding in general.  cooldude NOT that I'm elite BUT the Motorcycle I ride is.  coolsmiley RIDE SAFE.

Raymond is a great guy alright.  After getting my bike and  reading enough about splines to scare the bejeepers out of me, Raymond and Damon drove to Gunnison and trailered my bike back to Colorado Springs (several hours each way).  They serviced the splines and changed the DOT fluids, desmogged, cleaned up and rejetted the carbs and slapped on a car tar.   The amazing thing is, I hadn't even met either of them before that!  I will always remember and appreciate that.

As long as I ride  a HONDA, that is one true statement.
