Just a little chat I guess, (dosent mean anything without pictures , still old school and cant whore my soul yet) . Damn gotta some pics for Valk owners assoc. .
The Fat girl - 98 Tourer factory stock is in the heated trailer I use when I go to an out of state job . keep it at 50 degrees. (need to build a garage.)
Got down in the lows yaknow vortex thing -15 , I kept her warm at 40. , didn't want the rubber to take to much of a beating.
Had her a year and a half put on 5000 miles , up to devils tower , spearfish, rushmore. Still wana learn my machine before I do a 2000 mile continental trip.
My uncle a photo expert came out to visit and I didn't do a foto shoot of my Valk , I was so overwhelemed working 90 hours a week , I was a basket case to think.
Ive never owned a SUPER BIKE .
I believe in absolutes . meaning ; in my eyes what is truth and good, real and the real deal .
Buying a bike made in Marysville with profits going to Japan & Government ? I guess that's an argument . How much of the old USA is still alive? 30% . tough pickle.
Riding the 98 Valkyrie Tourer just gets better .
Its kinda of like when your on top of her riding it just wants to perform, and please her Master.
I do Metzlers 880 , wipe and wax lemon pledge after every trip , changed coolant when I bought her , use rotella and mobile one and pure ONE . change rear end with sny every 2000 miles.
Use factory airfilter for replacement.
Use an napa brake bleader and change brake and clutch fluid every year.
Made sure my mechanic tightens the rear axle before tightening the rear axle differential 4 bolts.
For storage I put stabil in at the gas station and rode home and turn off fuel before home and then parked her . Let her set.
then pumped the tires up to 50 lbs and set her up straight as I could with 2x4. The put a pan under and unscrewed and left open each carburator bowl to drain in a flat pan under.
Shes been in the bin now for 6weeks with this protocol. I roll the girl every 2 weeks to rotate tire surface.
I have a beautiful 1998 Tourer and am so proud of it. First super cool thing Ive ever owned in my life . I read this forum almost every day , especially the tech side.
As Im a new BIG BIKE OWNER , I think I need to shutup and learn.
I was around a bunch of Harley super friendly folk , this last fall and they were astounded by my beauty , metallic painted red pristine 6 cylinder virgin . they had 24 K road king , the beige one and were complaining about payments. OK
Thanks Valk owners assoc- you are absolute in my book.
weeder, Im out...........

Weeder, check your yahoo email. Got the email Britman . thanks a lot. A lot of information I never saw before , and I thought I scoured every bit of Valkyrie info off the net. I remember seeing a picture of your bike in the house a few years ago , same guy-- right on. good to know ya. My Valk would be in the living room if I could get it thru the door . Hey did you see on the news they outlawed even small pup bigrigs on the dragon? in Tenessee? Your bike looks really good . White with red nicely placed .

No need to over-inflate the tires and move them every two weeks. I just move my bike when I need it out of the way, and make sure the tires are properly inflated in the spring.
