Where did this thread go?  Did someone not hear what they wanted to hear and pull it? Are our administrators 12?  I have never see so many people in charge of such a great thing get so butt hurt over something so little.

I'm sixty-three, Gavin.  You're a lot closer to twelve than I am.

I was not the one who removed the thread.  Quite honestly without the mitigating input of the other staff I would have been more inclined to simply remove the participation of a small number of members.

As I said already, some don't get it and some just don't care.

There is a very negative impact on the ongoing life of this VRCC community put on by a very few participants who are completely self centered and tend to be vocal.

My personal opinion, speaking for myself and not for the VRCC staff, if someone feels so strongly that he needs to personally attack the president of the VRCC for making an easily accommodated suggestion perhaps it's time for that member to move on.

A few of us spend hours of our personal time and to try and extend the life of this diminishing (in size) VRCC community.  I wonder how much effort is devoted by those vocal few who by their less than mature behavior tend to push new or even existing members away?

Connie has much more integrity than I do. If I had done as much for the VRCC as she has and was catching all this crap that she is, I would not only have pulled the plug on the thread, I would have pulled the plug on the Inzane negotiations as well and let the blowhards figure it out. There is probably a core group of new Valk owners out there just waiting for a national rally to happen for them.

I support this club and thank everyone involved that keep it going, but is seems like here in the past couple years the administration has been taking stuff too personal. I know it is hard not to when you run this place. It started for me at this past inzane when a certain someone wanted to contribute to the vrcc and was pretty well told thanks but no thanks. Willow, I may be closer to twelve than you but sometimes certain people need to act their age and go about things as adults, this is not a personal attack on anyone but more like what I'm seeing as a concerned member. Maybe we need to vote in new officers, or maybe it is the winter pms kicking in, been a long time since we have had a heated discussion.

Maybe we need to vote in new officers

This unique place is a business of sorts... officers don't get voted into businesses...

Some businesses make money, period. Others not so much, but have attributes
beyond the money that makes their owners willing to continue the operation. The
users of this forum have the choice to do whatever they want. What is it that you
gentlemen want? I want to keep having this hangout available, keep going to
inZane, and when Motomama or F6gal ask for some little thing, I want to say
"yes maam"...

 Grin  Offer most respectfully declined.

Tom, I too was caught somewhat off guard by the incidence of our agreement.  I have at times (and let me emphasize the lack of the modifier all) enjoyed some of our exchanges but never expected to hear anything resembling agreement.  I've been back to the cardiologist and he says I'm going to survive this one but suggested we not do this again.

Be safe and I'll hope to see you when Idaho thaws.   Wink

Carl,
I'd ask you to be more specific on this.   I gave an honest opinion and yes, it may have sounded a bit harsh but, it's the way I felt about the topic.   If I'm one of those you speak of, then tell me and I'll eliminate the forum from my favorite sites and leave willingly, you don't have to kick me off.

I personally think Connie was wrong.   Or, she (at a minimum) stated her request in a dictatorial manner, That's my opinion.   IF my opinion isn't welcomed here, I can handle that.    As much as I like the fellowship this site offers, I'm sure it can carry one without me.   I like going to Inzane and other Valkyrie events but, I don't have to.   Just tell me what you want me to do.   I respect your opinion, you know that.   I don't think I was out of line but, that's just my opinion.

I notice a lot more "butt hurt" posts on here than I expected.

Kind of surprising but perhaps the average member here is different than what I'm used to.  Maybe I'm wrong though and just hallucinating.

Ron, I've been advised not to be specific on such topics.

However in all honesty (it's my weakness) I can tell you that you were not one who came to mind when I made that statement.  I do think that you were out of line and, as many, don't understand what it takes to keep an organization such as the VRCC afloat.  I personally thought Connie was more than gentle with her request.
