Pretty Neat. We're fairly close to a large quarry and its interesting to watch them blast. But, when they get a little too 'rambunkous' [sp] houses shake. They have caused damage to some homes.

Yep.....These days I spend a good deal of my time running numbers and computer simulations to avoid the high PPV's (peak particle velocities). Problem is the timing solutions that have the best PPV's isn't always the best for actually breaking the rock. It's a hard to win situation.....High PPV good breakage = pissed neighbors and happy customers. Low PPV and bad breakage = happy neighbors and pissed customer.....aaaaAAARRRGHHHH!!!

As in everything in life, its all a balancing act huh.
John kinda beat me to it, but, I think you'd be a good guy to have around on a slow fishing day.  Grin

These guys...They are the barge crew that helped us out all day....I loaded all those holes from this little boat with the assistance of a diver.
The weird thing to me is they told us they had to make sure there were no Game Wardens around before collecting the fish. It is illegal to take the floating dead fish because they were killed by the blast......they have been fined before. Go figure.  uglystupid2
