This forum has showed me a lot of things that need to be checked for maintenance. Short cuts to make things easier.  I like to putz on the bike and may have been able to work through problems on my own but the advice here saved a lot of blood, sweat and tears and $$$.  The following list is off the top of my head.

Vacuum hoses, I had leaky hoses that messed with my idle speed.
Shifter shaft seal replacement.
Rear end maintenance was a lot more involved than what I was doing.
Run higher pressure in tires.
Went back to changing rear tire without taking the exhaust off.
Cleaning the starter switch.
Doing the nut cage modification.
Making the lift adapter then installing the Rivco adapter.
Led me to the no-mar tire bar
Cleaning and lubing the rear brake peddle shaft.

I'm sure there a lot of other things. The manuals can only show so much but the collective wisdom here is worth dozens of manuals.  So to all who helped along the way a big thanks and if I can help someone along the line it would be a small bit of payback compared to what I have received.

Sorry for the sentimentality here, must be the end of the year.

Nice post, Steve. Cool idea to post thanks at this time of year. I'd also like to thank those who have helped me along the way with my two Valks. Maybe it was answering my questions or calls for help
on a procedure.
I've also learned a lot while at the 6 Inzanes I've been to and the numerous Tech Sessions. Thanks Charles "Ratdog" Greene and Daniel Meyer.

And thanks to the Staff who have tirelessly worked and organized the Inzanes and also kept this ship afloat. Thanks to those who post their rides and pictures so the rest of us can enjoy them also.
Thanks to Smoking Joe and the others for planning some very nice scenic routes.

I'm proud to call you all family.
