Last night we went over to my wife's son Anthony's apartment to drop some stuff off. On the way home we are going south on Van Buren street if FT Wayne. We are stopped at the light at Washington and Van Buren when I hear tires squealing to my left. I look and see a car turning north on Van Buren with a PT Cruiser behind it with its brakes locked. Fortunately he got stopped before he hit that car. After the first car turns the corner the PT Cruiser accelerates hard. Now anyone that knows that side of town knows that right lane is a turn lane only at Van Buren . He proceeds to drive right in front of my truck up on the sidewalk and SLAMS into a metal light pole. I tell Twila to call 911 and I got out to check on the guy. I tapped on the window and he opens the door slowly. The car was full of smoke from the airbags. I ask him if he is ok and to turn the car off. He closes the door and tried to move the car. This car is smashed bad it isn't going anywhere. I told Twila to tell the dispatcher he is trying to leave. The dispatcher told her that might be the car they are looking for that has been driving recklessly. When the cops got there less that a minute later he was in reverse trying to back up. The cops pulled the door open and told him repeatedly to turn the car off. They finally pulled him out of the car and cuffed him. One of the officers there said he may have diabetes. Maybe that or he was drunk. Another officer took our information and we left. That was our excitement for the evening....LOL.....

The title threw me a little. "The wife's son's house"? Wouldn't that make him your step son?

That is for sure. My wife had one when I started dating her. What a POS. I found her a nice 04 Bonneville at the dealer I work for. When she traded that thing in I told the sales manager just to put it on the wholesale lot. Not worth fixing anything. She loves her Bonneville. The title threw me a little. "The wife's son's house"? Wouldn't that make him your step son? Yes that would make him my step son. Sorry for the confusion.

In a deal like that, I would always assume the actor is an armed fleeing felon and act accordingly. Mark, I have stopped and helped many times in normal appearing accidents, but with the obvious aggressive and intentional reckless driving he could have shot you thru his window. Good move on calling the authorities. I'm just sayin'. Not an hour ago, some ancient guy was apparently teaching his marginally younger foreign wife to drive in our neighborhood, and she just plowed into a neighbor's nice truck parked on the street. There was 50 feet of available road to miss his truck. Sh!t happens (and that's why I put in an extra wide driveway). The wife should be cited for DWO. Look it up, it's arguably racist, but funny (and often accurate) too.

my mother in law came back 2 years ago back to her house to find the entire one car garage door smashed in and part of the siding of the garage pushed in even bent the gas meter going into her house which is located inside her garage. NO ONE around. She is elderly age 70 at the time lives alone and was scared someone was in her house.
found out that it was the older elderly guy up the street pushing 90 still driving and he backed up into her garage thinking it was his house and he accidently floored the gas pedal vs. applying the brake. Took all of the winter and part of spring to get the entire situation cleaned up and looking like new again.
In your situation, I would sit in the car and lock the doors and call 911. You never know when a person has a gun, especially in your area where you were at or for that matter, anywhere nowadays.
Worst case scenario I have ever seen was a near head on collision 2 cars going 60 mph each wasn't pretty no assistance needed, but to this day, I hear still the impact which lifted me right out of my keester.

OK Mark, I believe MOST of that story.
I do not believe that the part about Twila being old enough to have a son that lives on his own! ( unless they allow 12 year olds to rent apartments now)

She will be happy to hear that Jim. But Anthony is 25 and her other son Nathan is 21.

Couple years ago I walked to a friends house who lives on a dead end road. When I got there there was a car parked up against a tree with no visible damage and running. I knocked on my friends door and when he answered I asked him if he knew the guy in the car. He didn't, so we approached the car to see if there was a problem. It was a elderly gentleman sitting in the car looking around confused and was completely unaware of us knocking on the window. Doors locked running and in gear up against a tree. We called the police, they came along with an ambulance. They had to break into the car to get him out and start taking care of him. He was apparently having a severe blood sugar episode. Everything ended up okay, but it did add a little excitement to the day.

I just bought a 2010 Cadillac DTS three weeks ago and was in the slow lane on a divided highway doing 60 (speed limit) and some dude in the fast lane in a brand new 2014 Cruze decides he likes my lane more. %$*! BAM
Caved in both my Driver and Drivers side passenger doors. His car had damage to the right front and Passenger side. My doors open (but I get the door ajar alarm all the time), his door would not open.
He pulls over. I asked him do you have insurance. He said "No Engrish"... Luckily, He did have insurance (Yeah!)
It was his fault, and now the insurance and repair crap begins.
In February, I bought my wife a 2013 Camaro. It got wrecked within the first week..
I don't think I want a new bike, and will stick with my trusty old Valk. (Was not looking to replace it anyway)
Ride safe my friends, they are out to get us.

They really are. Just last Friday out on the valkyrie had some young broad decide she wanted my lane more than me. Thank God I was paying attention, she came over quick. I'm just happy I didn't dump the bike when I got on the brakes. don't think she even looked before jerking the wheel. Oh well, that's why I keep my head on a swivel cause other people sure as hell don't.
