Thank you, Sir, for coming to America the right way.
My Dad tought citizenship.
When the cancer finally made him lay down to die, he had over 5000 naturalized citizens go through his class. After the swearing in ceremony he would host a "Thank God we made it party".
Us kids would be in the back of the house and they didnt want us to come out. That was OK.
The next morning they didnt us to wake them up, either. Part of the deal was every one had to bring a dessert from their country. Mom and Dad didnt care as we took care of the leftovers and myself and four brothers busy in the morning after the party.
As I recall, we had alot of apple pie.
Just a memory from the vault. Thanks.
