ABATE, AMA, & MRF rep.

Back in the early seventies I worked with a member of the "Road Agents MC" and he invited me to come to the clubs bi-weekly parties (Wed-Fri) in Rouge Park on Detroit's west side.

I met some of the most memorable characters ever to ride through the streets of Detroit. And one of them was "Squire"; a hardcore Road Agent that kept sober and defineatly had strong opinions. He was the first in his club to by a "dresser", while most rode choppers, bobbers, or Rat Bikes. He bought a dresser to,...."Wear it out or himself, whichever came first.

Our Abate Region was knowtwn to have the "Hell Freezes Over" Poker Runs in February. And back in 1995 it was extremely cold and snowy, but we had two riders show up. The first was Bruce Biscomer (another MI cycle legend) and then Squire pulled in. The roads were so bad and the weather was getting worse as the morning progressed. It was decided to cancel the poker run.

This did not set well with Squire or Bruce, but both continued to ride. Bruce went home and Squire decided that Arizona or New Mexico would be his destination.
