The wife's Indian Scout came in a few days ago..we had put a deposit down in August...she wanted it to be faster than me on the valk--her Honda VTX 1300R just didn't get it.  Absolutely beautiful red bike with awesome sounding chrome pipes but 100 mile gas range and short rear springs wouldn't cut it. They had a  2 tone red/creme chieftan with cruise control, stereo, full jewel like fairing,124 ft lb torque,anti-lock brakes....$29k loaded w/goodies.......she is happy ....I'll keep you posted on the drag race

I rode one (Chieftain) this last Spring, you are going to love it. Very smooth for a V-Twin. Victory and Indian are both doing a lot of things right.

So does she have the Scout or did she change her mind for the Chieftan?

Went to Tina's face book page. Looks like that Indian was made for her. Like the red and cream.  cooldude

Happy to hear they are starting to arrive.  My Scout should be here soon and based on my test ride it's exactly what I want in addition to a touring bike.   Woohoo.

Did you get your test ride at the trike shop in Greenville? I tried to keep up with when the test rides were there, and as I remember when the day came, the weather was awful...

I did and walked away very impressed.  It was a brutally cold day but I wasn't letting that keep me off the demo bike!  It won't replace my valkyrie but I can almost guarantee it will get way more use.

Nice...and her boots go with it quite nicely.  I see a big smile...and am sure she will love that much more than the Scout.

Thanx for all the compliments guys and post Bons cooldude...the  bike is just gorgeous from any angle..lots chrome, good down low torque..it is ALL THAT ..seriously...she says she is getting all sorts of honks/waves/compliments in her first few drives down the street to the point and she is concerned about getting jacked at some stoplight  Shocked...Dallas has changed a lot the last 10 years.. I haven't got to check out the linked brakes w/ABS..that should be a good safety feature foe her...I tried to get her to get a  matching Valkyrie Standard to mine but she wanted a new bike . It is not worth 3 pristine Interstates  to me personally but again I have never seen her more excited/nervous/hyperventilating/flushed and near panic the first rides around the block....her 2009 VTX 1300R all chromed/hard bags/etc and her 2008 Suzuki GSX  650 F-pristine -are going on Craigs list next week--great bikes but just didn't do it for her. And yes that Indian Scout had the most rumpitty/cammy gdidy up exhaust I have heard on a stock bike and looks to match. A Hill country ride next weekend maybe...and riding not trailering like the last 2 times.....She has the power and comfort now to keep up with the valkrie..Happy Trails are coming our way cooldude Grin Grin Grin angel Evil

I rode a Chieftain during the demo tour that came through Murfreesboro,TN in May. I loved it! Spent the next few months trying to justify the price tag on it. Still a "dream" bike of mine, but, after buying my Valk I have not had any regrets or second thoughts.
