My son is the manager for a motorcycle store, and a couple monthsback he sold a gentleman a Honda Goldwing, along with 2 he special ordered (color) . They came with a microphone and a hard wired pigtail on the outside that must have plugged into the Goldwing communication system. Last week the gentleman brought the bike back (along with the two helmets) because he had injured his back and could no longer ride, he asked my son to sell the bike for him. Long story short the bike sold but the new owner did not want the helmets because he had his own with blue tooth, so I purchased them for a very good price hoping to use them on my Interstate, but the connections are not the same. I would like get some information about the communication system that is already in them.
As stated above the helmets are HJC IS_MAX HB and they have a foam covered mike that is about 1" in diameter and is connected to pigtail that has 9 pins in a semi circle unit about 3/8" in diameter. The hard wire is labeled "JM" , hopefully someone has had some experience with this. The helmet is labeled bluetooth ready with a slot for the bluetooth unit, I most likely will install a bluetooth unit in them but am curious about the system that is already there.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

I talked to the owner of J&M last Sat. That exact issue came up. You'll have to buy another down cord. No problem.
