I am not a politician or even claim to understand it, but I just watched our great leader on TV.  Is it my imagination or did he just spread our American legs. Point was that illegal aliens have to much difficulty getting into our country illegally, so now he gives them Cart Blanch. Or is it me!!!!!!

Man oh man.  Under the secrecy of the Pope's robe, BO sticks it to America again.  Seems he has more compassion for Cubans than for Americans.

Yep, listen to obama. Then listen to Sen. Rubio.

Cubans have been coming to this country for years. If they can make it shore then they are legal to stay. If they are caught prior to touching ground, they are returned.  I'm surprised at the lengths these folks go to try and get here. The boats they come here in I wouldn't get into if it was just in a little mud puddle.

I'm not going to overtly state my position on the current issue, but it occurs to me that a lot of you don't realize that your ancestors came here as illegal aliens.  My Choctaw forefathers obviously didn't realize how bad it was going to get.

Well what goes around come around.   Wink

I haven't researched what exactly the Exalted One is proposing, but as far as normalizing relations with Cuba, THAT I'm all in favor of. We may not like them, they definitely don't like us, but that's no reason to play the childish game of "I'm not talking to you, so I'll tell Sally to tell you whatever instead of telling you directly."

I agree with Willow about the Indian and think it is hi-time we get back to relations with Cuba. We have relations with Communist and Islamic countries all over the world and we have shut the door on one of our nearest neighbors.  Yes, we had good reason at the time of breaking relations but too many years have passed.

I will take a bet that the majority of the Cuban people have no beef with
us other than the fact that we have effectively (with the help of Castro)
kept them poor and driving 50 yr old cars

Now if you ask me about Puerto Rico you would get a different answer, as I
have very limited respect for people who refuse to speak or learn the English language yet live in the USA

Invite them to your house Mr President, not mine and not without a valid passport and a way to deport those here illegally

I don't have a problem with opening up communication with Cuba. I have a problem with trading 3 convicted spy's for one american citizen. Again America gives and the liar in chief gets nothing in return.

Big D,

He did say that they also got an operative that was imprisoned there for 20 years as well as the other guy that was imprisoned for 5 years.

You can have them!  My bro-in-law and wife went to Cuba via Jamaica and thought they were gonna find a beautiful place with milk and honey dripping off of the trees.  Nope.  They found people living in building with plumbing and electric rigged up amateurishly and dangerously.  The cars were old , yes, but held together with duct tape.  Not one pot hole free road.  Horrible sanitation.  He was incredibly disappointed because he had heard stories from his grandfather who used to sail to Cuba from Jamaica for work.  He was told how beautiful it was and about the opportunity.  He was told that everything was free.  They had free this and free that.  Only thing they don't have is Free-dom.

I would love for a man on the street interview thingy in Miami right now.  I'm interested in what the US-Cubans think about this.  I know they HATE the Castros and everything they stand for.  In the past, as a group, they were always against relations with Cuba.  Wonder if they still feel that way?

I stand by my earlier assessment that normalized relations are a good thing (The details of the Obama surrender irk me, but not much that "man" does doesn't) but since you asked:

What we need is to impeach Obama and Bidon, then round up all the co-conspirators like Pelosi, Reid, Holder, Feinstein and Hilary...maybe some others and take them all to our new friends country (Cuba) and lock them in Gitmo for 20 years or so. Then we can try a new approach in Washington

That statement is a little ignorant.  tickedoff My family migrated from Cuba.
I don't see us as illegals. I've known many illegals from Ireland who living in NYC when I lived there. But I don't here anybody saying we're all going to be speaking Gaelic someday. Or complaining about them.
Maybe you should ask all those Cubans that migrated to the US after the revolution if they are illegals?

Will see who is ignorant in 15 more years?  Adios Amigo.

If living in U.S. illegally living off our govt., round them all up on the next boat and ship them back on their countries dime.

There are ways  to get U.S. citizenship and know a Russian lady at work still working on getting her U.S. citizenship who is very smart/intelligent, was a teacher in Russia.   The horror stories she has told me on how hard and EXPENSIVE it is to get U.S. citizenship is unreal.    She was a mail order bride from Russia marrying an idiot, rich a-hole who treated her like crap now recently separated.
