Somewhere out West, Which way did I go?

« on: December 19, 2014, 11:01:46 AM »

Wayne "PW" (Pooch Whacker) Kinsman lost his battle with cancer last night at approx. 1900 hrs. (Seattle time).

Wayne was "Wayne's World" for the Valkyrie community.

I learned a few days ago of his down-turn in health/diagnosis. I received word last night of his passing.

Please remember Wayne's wife Dianna in your prayers.

Wayne and I flew back to Zanesville for IZ-2. We rented a mini-van and I helped him sell his wares. It was then that I began making my many friends within the VRCC.

I enjoyed many thousands of miles with Wayne, and many a parking lot party at the end of each day's ride.

Farewell my friend.

I dunno why, been his handle since before I'd met him. The handle came about from a ride he was on. An Irish Setter ran up onto the road right in front of his Valk. He had no time to evade and rode it out. The guy behind him said he saw daylight beneath both his tires, right before he got showered in pink mist. PW managed to not go down (Valk's front wheel cut the dog in two). He stopped and knocked on the door of the farm house, owner told him he knew that dog would meet that end.

A secondary handle for him was Push Start. He was known for dead batteries, or other wiring issues under his saddle.

Emailed you and oZ last night to advise, assume you both received.

Yes, both Valks were his. The orange one was a rebuild. He bought a totalled bike after a local member had a nasty crash. It rode well after being put back together and redone.

The burple one eventually got a flame paint job, along with a burple flamed batwing fairing/hard bags.

Chas, Thanks for posting this. I'm very saddened to hear this news even though I knew he was ill.
I never had the pleasure of meeting Wayne but I had his parts on both of my Valkyries. They're top notch. I know beauty is subjective, but there are NO engine hangers out there that I would trade my Wayne's World flame ones for. Same goes for my Dragon radiator front cover.

I'll pray for his family. RIP Wayne.

If it's not too much trouble, could you post a link to his obituary when it comes out? Thanks.

Russ,

I'll do what I can with the obit. I'd guess The Tacoma New Tribune would be the best bet, secondarily, The Seattle Times.

I have wondered off and on over the last few years how he was doing, he fought that fight for a long time. Wayne was a strong supporter and vendor for the VRCC for many years and all of his products were innovative and top notch.

Prayers for his family, Wayne was one of the good ones.

RIP Bro.

I beleive I met hids son on one of those VERMIN rides. it was the one that a couple of folks rode off the road one the way to the coast and a couple hit the ditch hard on the way back. Wayne's son was on Wayne's instantly recogonizable valk, so sorry to hear that. thoughts and prayers for the family.

Yesterday, attended the grave side, and helped carry my friend. Chilly day, a little bite in the breeze, but no rain. Good turn out of folks, nice service.

So, time to carry the casket again, over to the mausoleum. We get the casket positioned on the lift, and they begin to lift up. About half way up, the lift dies. Either an electrical issue at the circuit panel (inside), or, due to the lift being outside for so long... the hydraulic fluid (for raising the piston) was so cold/thick that the motor to pump the fluid over heated. But, "Push Start" got the final word.  cooldude
