Valk Santa in Dublin

Yesterday we took a spin into Dublin to partake in the annual GoldWing Club of Ireland's Christmas frovilities. This entails parking the bikes up as if at a show, and one of the more established members dressing up as Santa to hand out sweets to passing kids.
A rose amongst many thorns , my black Standard as usual, was the only Valk there.
This year though, there was a problem. Someone had forgotten to pack the Santa beard with the red suit.
All was not lost however, there was one guy there that fitted the bill, well almost ..... long grey hair, long grey beard, but no pot-belly ...... heck, two outta three ain't bad (so the song goes).
Into the breach (well, more like railroaded), steps one Valkyrie rider ................................. and if I'm honest, it was great craic altogether!!!!

This one was a real shy one. Eventually though she came out of hiding.

It was like looking into a mirror .... :D

I dress up as Santa for my Daughters pre-school she has run for 10 years or so. Always fun with the kids.

I have 1 grand daughter that used to be bashful with Santa Claus.

Now if she can stand in line long enough to get on his lap and get a picture taken, you almost can't get her off.

She takes her Christmas list from the year before and wants to know why she didn't get such and such presents last year.

She will really get after him.   We all stand back and laugh and record it.

I've been thinking about submitting it to AFV for maybe winning her some $$$$$ for her College Fund.

My two year old granddaughter was afraid of the mall Santa.  That Santa even terrified me.   :2funny:

A great thing to do.

May have done, though, some serious damage to Santa's image.   ;)

Phil, thanks so much for sharing the post and pics from old Dublin town.  :cooldude:

Who ever thought a Santa could be drafted into service???

It looks like they could not have made a better choice.

Except for the high waters (pants), suit fit you to a tee.

Merry Christmas from VA buddy.   :)

(funny, my hair and beard is the same color as yours, just a lot less of it)

:cooldude:Nice Job. By the way is that 1800 with the side car running darkside on the front? :coolsmiley:

Looks like a flat faced footprint on that tire, so I'd say yes.

IIRC, it's running darkside all around, and has the leading link front forks as well.
