Now, can you do anything about getting the sun to appear?

You probably already know your area, but about 25 minutes south off 61 there is maquetaka (spelling?) cave state park worth visiting for a few hours, especially for kids.  One thing I like about IL and IA state parks is they are all free to visit and enjoy unlike WI state parks.

If that isn't a true statement. It has been cloudy in the Dubuque are for nearly 3 weeks now. If the sun would at least shine, I can stand being out in 20 degree weather all day. I shouldn't complain to much, it's been a mild winter compared to last years. So far anyway
