A 16 year old outside the Dayton Mall I believe around Cinncinnatti Oh. decided to pull a gun to relieve a shopper of the Air Jordans he had purchased. Seems the intended victim was a C C W and was carrying. The 16 year old is dead. That M/C video that was posted a couple days ago gave me an idea. Show what could happen in slow motion like the M/C video did when you DO NOT know who you are drawing down on. I M H O that 16 year old became a man suffering a mans consequences when he drew that fire arm. A 16 year old dead over a pair of tennis shoes. I KNOW some one here on the board will find and post the link to this sad story. What in the heck is in peoples minds to rob some one else of something they purchased? RIDE SAFE.

In my neighborhood they use to have a saying,"If you are big enough to shoot your mouth off, your big enough to get your ass kicked", point is: if you are old enough to pull a trigger, then you are old enough to suffer the consequences. Why are the criminals always considered the victims?

This is one time the perp got what he deserved. I'm sure there are other instances out there, just not overly reported.

Skip the videos and news clips, they mostly lament the senseless death of a boy (16) who only wanted a pair of shoes. The boy was an armed robber.
Of course you may not legally own/purchase a handgun at 16. And armed robbery is illegal at any age.
Armed robbers should reap what they sew as often as possible.

It was about 40 miles from me and has been all over the news. Poor kid, he didn't deserve this. Such a nice well mannered boy.
Bullshit! Pull a gun, take the chance you will die.
The other side of the story is the poor guy who shot him, have to live with that for the rest of his life. Nope, I'm one of those CCW guys and don't think I would ever look back.
He didn't cause the problem but he did get to go home to his family that night.

And the only negotiating to be done with an armed robber is............ OK, hold on, hold on, lighten up on your trigger man, I'm giving you my wallet dude, here it is......... two in the chest then one in the head, in two seconds. (If you can't go that fast, stop after the double tap to the chest) Then, after removing firearm from his hand, immediately give the impression you are rendering first aid for the cameras and witnesses. Try to appear sad... and not elated (that you survived). Like this. ( And a little something extra)

According to what I just read he was a well thought of youth in the community. So WHY in the hell did he turn to armed robbery which B T W cost him his life over a pair of effing tennis shoes?? And getting killed over air jordans ain't new. When the family was still at home I tried to get the kids SOME of what they wanted for Birthdays or Christmas. It NEVER ONCE entered my mind to steal something from some one else that had already purchased it. My questions1-WHERE did he come by the weapon? 2-We will NEVER know but did he honestly believe his life was worth a pair of shoes?? Back to my original idea-make a video similar to the one Washington state made about the M/Cs. The kid pulls the gun. Cut to slo mo. The guy with the C C W permit asks him if he is SURE he really wants to do this. Family on both sides visited. They become somewhat friendly. Hunter becomes the hunted and dies anyway. Course THIS robbery-while it didn't-COULD have gone the other way. Victim killed over a pair of effing shoes. Boils down to a kid dying over a pair of effing shoes1 How SAD is that? RIDE SAFE.

I heard this on the news today, and thought I would stop by my favorite forum and see what was written about it.
I was smiling when I first heard about this, just didn't hear it a second time to learn some more details. I thought they where teens.
Couldn't agree more, old enough to do that "stuff", then big enough to figure out the possible consequences.
I am glad that it went the way it did, and it wasn't the other way around.
Makes me recall the saying of an armed society is a polite society. Seems that the youth didn't learn that lesson. Seems he won't get a second chance. Doesn't the states have a 3 sticks and your out policy? Seems we don't need to worry about this one, it took care of itself nicely.
I do hope the CCW person has the mental fortitude to live past this. I know I for one have always had the mindset to say, if it is between you or me going home, me will win every time.
All the best.

A 16 year old dead over a pair of tennis shoes. I KNOW some one here on the board will find and post the link to this sad story. Nope, a 16 y/o is dead because he threatened a mans life with deadly force while committing felonies, period. A sad story would be if the dirtbag had killed the man who had worked for the privilege of being able own those shoes. It stinks for the kids family, it stinks for the guy who was forced to use deadly force to protect himself, but it is the correct outcome. Now if the dirtbags that were with him are charged for murder like they should be, then it is a great outcome.

16 years old, when he carried the gun he was a criminal. Meaning he was already a criminal when he compounded his developing career by attempting armed robbery.

This should be the outcome for any thug that threatens someone with a gun. Black or white, does not matter what race. We have a black guy working with us that just got hired a few weeks ago. He is a riot, we got talking about all of these shootings and his comment was, " dumb dicks deserve everything they get" , disobey a LEO and threaten him you get shot, pull a gun, you get shot. It's not hard to follow the rules. He said thats why he has upper middle class white friends.
