Went to candlelight service at my Church tonight. Quite possibly THE most beautiful service we have all year. Refreshing to see old friends make new friends and MOST important-REMEMBER The TRUE meaning of CHRISTMAS. With that in mind-May GOD bless and keep you on this Christmas day 2014. To all my friends here and elsewhere-MERRY CHRISTMAS.

In fairness the celebration which we call today Christmas predated our Christian holiday during which we remember the nativity of Jesus Christ.  What we have today in our culture is a combination of the social winter celebration and our very Christian celebration on the incarnation of our Savior.

One can certainly participate in both and many of us do.  I personally strongly prefer to concentrate on the Christian meaning.  I have come to dislike a lot of what the social celebration has taken on but I do still enjoy giving gifts to the grandchildren.

Merry Christmas to all my VRCC friends.

We have a young lady at church who is a mixture of Carol Burnett and Billy Graham.
She is one of the youth leaders, and they put on skits and plays that are both
funny and are Christ-centered. The little church was full on Sunday night and
as usual they were a big hit...

Merry Christmas everyone  cooldude

Well said Willow.  I could not agree more.   Amen

Hope you all had a Merry Christmas.

The
Wife and I just got on Netflix and picked an unknown show called "RING THE BELL".    Starts out a little hokey but ends up with a great religous message.  It's a "recommend" from me and my wife.
