I'm trying to pull the rear wheel to do spline maintenance. I pull the wheel to the left but it won't clear the pins and come off.
Any advice appreciated

The pins are supposed to stay with the wheel.  First push the wheel back onto the final drive.  Then put the axle back in but not the caliper plate or the spacer.  Then get a large screwdriver and lay under the final drive, you will see a hole.  Through that hole you can stick the screwdriver in and pry the flange out of the drive so the pins/flange go with the wheel when it seperates

Thanks, that did it.
The Valkyrie is new to me & I'm still learning.
Plenty of lube on the wheel spline & it looks to be in good shape.
Pulling final drive & shaft next
Thanks again

Glad that worked, and all is well.  Now make sure you put it together in the right sequence so it stays that way.  I made a slide show (in shoptalk) to show you what you need to do, or search...many posts detailing the procedure  :cooldude:
