Son of a bitch.   Angry   tickedoff   tickedoff   tickedoff

The 3rd and 4th quarters are flat out embarrassing.   Sad

The best thing about this game is the F150 commercials.   coolsmiley

Apparently the speed is NOT in the southeast. Apparently, its in the northwest.
Also apparent the southeast conference is way overrated.

Yea, Bama is stout, thats for sure. It'll be a miracle if the buckeye nuts get past them.
Judging by the results thus far, TCU got the shaft. Baylor, not so much.

I have watched most of this game and I don't see it that way at all.  I find most of the turnovers and interceptions were flukes/freaks of nature and like accidents, things just happen at times beyond reasonable control.  Am sure Florida is embarrassed, but shouldn't feel that way.

Wanna bet if this game was played over in 1-2 weeks from now,  Florida could beat Oregon.

Same way with Ohio State handing the WI Badgers an embarrassing lost of 59-0 last week or two ago.  Doubt that would happen ever again like that.

Ohio State might upset Bama, they did it to the Badgers, Bama maybe next tonight?

From what I saw of the toilet bowl between Badgers and Auburn today, the Badgers should have easily won that game with poor passing from Badgers QB and poor catching/turnovers in the red zone.  It should never have come down to the last minute in regulation to tie to have Buckey pull it out in overtime.  OVER 350 yards rushing should easily favor Bucky and from what I saw,  the Badgers pretty much dominated most of the game.

Stuff happens unfortunately like it also did in our high school game in sectional finals.  We dominated the game both sides of the ball, just that every single time we were ready to score 5-20 yards away from end zone,  our QB either threw an interception or our running back fumbled having like 5-6 turnovers that game.  We had near 4 times the offensive totals as they did and total ball control, loosing by 1 TD is all.  It is what it is.  Cry

Also apparent the southeast conference is way overrated.

1.  They all recruit from all over.

2. FL State is ACC, not SEC

3.  IMHO, the SEC remains the gold std for college football.  There are other good, even great, teams but no other conference has the number of consistently high quality teams as the SEC.

4. Also, IMHO, there would be more SEC teams in the playoff, if they didn't have to play each other during the season.

5.  The Ducks are from another planet.  (you can tell from their uniforms   Grin)

Hell....FSU barely squeaked out come from behind wins against poor to mediocre teams all season.

Oregon played quite well tonight but it's ROLL TIDE for me!

1. Well aware they recruit all over, was referring to the perception that somehow the teams in the south, in particular SE conference teams somehow have more speed.
2. Well aware FSU is in the ACC. Was referring to the fact that The state of Florida, and therefore all its teams are from the southeast part of the country.
3. TCU totally undressed Ole Miss, supposedly one of those great SEC teams that beat up eachother.
Mississippi state, another one of those great SEC teams got beat by Georgia Tech from the "weak" ACC using an offense from the seventies.
Auburn, another of those strong teams from the SEC beaten by Wisconsin, from once again the "weak"
big10. Maybe the level of play in the SEC isnt really as high as everyone thinks.
4. Oregon is absolutely from another planet.

We are in agreement.  cooldude

But I still think the SEC is the best conference (generally, if not in the last couple days)

...thank god for Jim Harbaugh.

I hope so.  After the last 7 years, recruiting has to be hurting.

(And we have to find a quarterback)

In your 2nd point you state that even though FSU is an ACC team they are from the southeast. Then to put the southeast down your 3rd point you say Georgia Tech from the "weak" ACC beat Miss State from the "great" SEC. (Isn't Georgia in the southeast by your reasoning too) You can't play it both ways  Roll Eyes

Pretty exceptional performance by the Buckeyes last night (with a 3d string QB).  cooldude

Nothing like a guy the size of an interior lineman as QB; when he decided to run he was like a freight train.

The Tide played a pretty good game last night; and they did not give up in the 2d half either.  I had not noticed it before, but their O and D lines are just as big as any pro team.

Jimmy Harbaugh needs to call Urban Meyer up and ask if he can borrow their fourth string QB.   Grin

Maybe Ohio State was just that good even with a backup QB?

Well rounded team, they embarrassed the Badgers 59-0, now that was embarrassing especially with the caliber of the Badgers offensive line and best college running back in the nation bar none.

Um, I can absolutely have it both ways. I didnt see any rules of engagement. Point taken though.
Kinda noticed the double standard while  I was typing it, but thought, wth. My underlying point is The SEC appears to be overrated, I kinda thought they were better back in the days of Tim Tebow. But, then again, I cant have it both ways.

I do agree that the SEC isn't what it used to be. I think as time goes by the stronger Conference can migrate.  cooldude
