I've got an idea of where someone SHOULD begin:

I wonder what language the narrator was using. It was not English.
Appears to be a chip off the old blockhead (who is clearly encouraging, not discouraging). The parent is morally and legally responsible for all damage and cost of repair of the minor's actions.
Pure ignorance and lack of respect...... from cradle to grave.
I still believe you ought be required to get a permit to have (any) children, though that would never be constitutional. Nor would involuntary sterilization (after one child out of wedlock and on permanent public assistance; or chronic nonpayment of child support).

One term he kept using I had to look up is "Jit"... Stands for Juvenile in Training... Seems pretty spot on, sadly... Oh yeah, and there's a part 2 as well...

Our children are a direct reflection of how we mentored them. As a child if I would even have thought about something like that, I still wouldn't be able to sit. Like they say "Never spank a child in the face, nature provides a better place"

When I was 5 or 6 I went to the store with my mom and sister. I wanted a Hershey bar. Mom said NO. I took one and decided to eat it in the car. Mom asked where I got that. She made my go back into the store and apologize to the owner for stealing from him. Mom payed the candy and I payed for it when I we got home. I Never did anything like that again.
Right before Twila and I got married we were shopping for stuff for the wedding at a craft store. I was watching this what looked like a 10 year old throwing a tantrum because his mom would not let him have something. He screamed at the top of his lungs while his idiot mom ignored him. She didnt say a word or take him out of the store she just kept doing what she was doing. If that was my kid I would have grabbed him by the shirt took him home and beat his ass like a Tom Tom.

My 4 year old threw a fit in walmart a few months back over some toy. I grabbed him and spanked his ass right there. Some lady looked at me and said that is child abuse. I lookd at her and asked is she wanted to be next. Then told her it was my kid and I would punish him the way I see fit and if she had a problem with it go ahead and run her mouth. She turned and walked away. He has yet to pull that crap again. I'm one that wont wait to take them home because by the time you get there they have already forgot what they done.

I'm one that wont wait to take them home because by the time you get there they have already forgot what they done.
Something my folks, and the Air Force, taught me.
Let the punishment meet the crime AND punishment needs to be immediate to be most effective (at behavior modification).
There was no wait till your father gets home for me, it was right now and wherever it was. That's why mom was the punisher 95% of the time. Besides, dad spanked harder, and only an idiot would act up with him sitting right there. LOL
I could outrun mom, but not dad until 8th grade.... but I learned running away was a large mistake too. I can still remember sprinting away at light speed from dad, and in about 20 feet him lifting me off the ground by my belt in one hand, my legs still pumping away.
In the USAF, you got your Article 15 the next day (for the same reason).
If I screwed up and new something was coming, I spent the rest of the day on my very best behavior. To get punished after most of a day of best behavior is sending the wrong message.

My five year old threw a fit in a restaurant during dinner. I picked her up, and took her outside for a "talk". Later, when we asked for our check, the waitress told us the gentlemen next to us paid our bill. She said they were thankful that I took care of the problem and they were able to enjoy their meal. I thought that was pretty cool.

And getting your bottom warmed in public added a degree of humiliation to the deal which also served to modify bad behavior.
I'd be worried about repercussions today though. Any sort of domestic assault case (conviction) can cost you your gun rights for life.

Agree, where were they? If I was working, I would have grabbed him and held him ASAP until the cops showed up, no more damage after the first 2-3 stuff off the shelves. In today's world though, wouldn't surprise me if the kids parents would sue me as the employee for hurting that kid just by holding him down is all not allowing him to leave or do more damage. I had a somewhat same scenario once over 10 years ago a women in a junker minivan slammed her door open to my car door damaging it, minor damage is all, being a witness as well right in front of me. I called the cops and she wanted to leave the scene ASAP. I got in her path of getting into her vehicle/car door telling her she is NOT leaving period and she would have to move me. 10 minutes later, the cops showed up and she wanted to press charges lying to the cop stating I hit her. I laughed my ass off and cop wanted her to show him the bruises where I hit her. She couldn't since was a lie and I told the cop if I would have hit her, she woulnd't be standing to speak to tell about it. Cop didn't like that comment I made and said that I technically cannot stand in the way of someone leaving the scene of an accident just get license plates is good enough. All over a under 100 dollar repair job her insurance company paid for anyways.

A long time ago , I was just out of the service and would fight at the drop of a hat or any other reason. Pappy taught us respect. In an old K-mart with the now ex, a 6 or so year old was taking toys off the shelves and stomping them. I walked up and said nicely , you should not be doing that. It costs the store money and your parents will have to pay for the damage. ( I suprised myself for staying so calm) The brat looked at me and said 'go ahead and touch or hit me , my parents haven't sued anyone for a while". I looked around to make sure no-one was looking , put a hand behind his head and delivered a skull punch that knocked him out. He fell to the floor as I walked away and told the ex we needed to leave the store right now. Thank goodness this was before cameras all over the store. I am sure he had a welt and headache for a long time. ( respect the stores property) I often wonder what the outcome was.

My oldest will be 46 this year and my youngest will be 20 this year. Rest assured EVERY last one of the six at one time or another has had their ass warmed up by my hand. Nanny state steppin in and tellin me I CAN'T discipline my own kids-WRONG EFFIN ANSWER. I realize that some folks either go too far and others enjoy it. I had to control myself and KNOW before I started they were only going to get 3 or 4 cracks on their keester. My oldest-my daughter-told me after she got married and had her own kids that when she was growing up I had a look that kept her from doing more wrong than she already did. Part if not all of the reason kids go nuts is because of the courts and the L E Os that are taking child rearing out of the parents hands. Had I called Mom or Dad on child abuse I would have been dropped off at child services in my birthday suit in January on a Sunday! We knew goin in that there were consequences for our actions-good consequences or bad consequences. Every ass whuppin I got growin up I deserved and I probably had more comin! Course-no way in hell I thought THAT growin up. RIDE SAFE.

Would you be willing to risk your livelihood, your home, and everything you own to a stupid lawsuit? Or... just record it so there's proof of what this kid was doing later on? Sad, I know, but that's the reality we're currently living under.

Ha, they would forget about the kid spanking part shortly after they showed up to arrest me. This child abuse stuff has gone way too far. Spanking your kid for not listening or throwing a fit is not child abuse.

I worked in a Kmart once for a short while back in the very, very early '70's when I was a teenager (I'm 61 now). Trust me when I say....they had cameras back then. The store I worked in, the cameras could see the entire store except for one very small corner of the pharmacy and one very small corner of the auto care section (this is back when Kmart changed car tires and performed other vehicle services). Perhaps you got lucky and knocked out a 6 year old child in one of those blind corners where the cameras couldn't see you.

one time a long time ago i took a 1 dollar toy and threw it on the floor at the store.. my Mom beat my ass with a switch and my Dad beat my ass with a belt..after that i aint even thought about doing stuff like that again,, yea i was mad at them both for whipping me but i deserved it and i learned a very valuable lesson that day.. i was about 10 years old..i wish they were still alive today cause every once in a while i still need my ass beat..
I'm sure you can find a service that will do that for you. (for a price) i am afraid the whoopin i would get by the service wouldnt be one like Mom used to do,, LOL

You knocked out a 6 year old kid ? I'm willing to bet it was a long time before the little snot smarted off to an adult.

Meathead and all others , Y E S I cull-cocked the potus , and if his sperm donor father had come around , at that time I would have done the same to him. I have been shot ,stabbed ,and divorced , but will ride a Valkyrie as long as I am able.
