But here in NY, I believe only a few knew what they were getting with this "mayor".

He sided with the race baiters against his own police dept.  When he received backlash, he dug himself in further with "the cause" and declared that all law enforcement need new training and that he worries for his son's safety when it comes to the police, a police dept. that is more racially diverse than any other.

The police, infuriated by his actions (allowing chants for dead cops) and his statements, now worried that the atmosphere the "mayor" and race baiters have created may lead to something terrible, signed petitions to have him be absent at police funerals if it should ever arise.

Unfortunately, it only took 2 weeks to happen.  The "mayor" rushed to the hospital to be with his fallen employees, a place where he was not very welcome by the reactions of the police who turned their backs as he walked through them.

This was heard loud and clear, and in my opinion was the perfect way of handling their anger.  There was no looting, no fires, no protests asking for someone's death, no vulgar signs or language, no permits needed, and no broken laws.  It was the shot heard around the world.    :cool dude:

This was done again at the funerals of the fallen officers.  Thousands of officers, from all over the country turned their backs to him and to the big TV screens he appeared on when he spoke.  They did not turn away from any other speaker, only the "mayor".

Now, the "mayor" once again is digging in by accusing the police of showing disrespect for the fallen officers by turning their backs on him.  I don't think he gets it.  I think it's been explained over and over again, but the ideologies he subscribes to are just too embedded into him that the reality of one of the worst fractures in NY gov't history means nothing to the "mayor".

Rant over.

Its my belief that most don't spend much time looking into their possible politicians.
Anyone doing a bit of research would have known what they were getting for their new mayor. Of course the same was true for their president.
There was a bit of diversion with both because of their changes in names. William Wilhelm and Barry Soetoro. That probably confused some folks, it was probably intended that way.
The demonstrations in NYC are getting out of control and it doesn't seem like the mayor will do anything about them. Rudy Giuliani I don't think would have allowed this. Demonstrators are now entering restaurants and disrupting patrons.
I've been thinking and hoping that the pendulum has swung as far left as it can and is or will start to swing back to the center where it belongs.

Murders were at 2000/year in 1990. Due to Giuliani and his changes that rate has dropped to 300 last year.  The new nitwit in charge will probably do what he can to change this back to what it used to be. The man is refusing to admit he made a mistake and apologize to the NYPD.

There were 2 more NYPD officers just shot, both are expected to live from the info I have.

It appears to me that the likes of deblasio, sharpton and obama have set race relations back decades.

Almost forgot. A black male gang member with a huge rap sheet was recorded firing a handgun into the window of a police cruiser. This solid citizen was arrested. A dumb ass liberal female judge named Johnson let him go with no bail. deblasio in his infinite wisdom just reappointed this judge.

The police now are backing off and are on a slowdown. Can't say I blame them.

Its time for deblasio to resign or be impeached. Can a mayor be impeached ?

3 of the last 4 days there is a police cruiser with 2 officers just settin there in the Walgreen lot behind my office.

Its nice and quiet and safe there

No way for them to be ambushed.

But I would rather they actually be out patrolling

I hear that its really hard to get a speeding or parking ticket in NYC at the present time but I am
not gonna be testing to see if true

well written post gary

This is my reasoning , We do not have an election , we are allowed a selection. We have no choice of the runners other than the primaries. Even those are not elections.
All should be held accountable for their actions. We hired you to do a job , now do it or get out. Even corporate presidents can be fired. In china , engineers and leaders are fired and sometimes executed for failures.
Also , do not use man and this mayor in the same sentenance , it is oxymoron.
