Seven and one half minutes I'll never get back... I had hope, but there was no change. How far could I have ridden in that time?

You can fast forward and watch about 15 seconds of that and still see it all.  I would like to go 80 miles in a minute and a half myself, sounds like a blast  uglystupid2

I couldn't watch more then three minutes of that.  At 80 MPH that would put me four miles down the road.

A porch full of future rocket scientists.  Its no wonder we are 32nd out of the 37 industrialized nations in math and science. However with those answers we should be 38th.

our tax dollars are well spent  crazy2

ED currently administers a budget of $67.3 billion in discretionary appropriations (including discretionary Pell Grant funding) and operates programs that touch on every area and level of education. The Department's elementary and secondary programs annually serve nearly 16,900 school districts and approximately 50 million students attending more than 98,000 public schools and 28,000 private schools. Department programs also provide grant, loan, and work-study assistance to more than 13 million postsecondary students.

I used the pell grant/ montgomery GI bill/ Post 911 bill to fund my education. It is unfortunate that there are those who abuse the assistence. When I was working on my associates at my local community college. I witnessed personally 7/10 students of a certain "race"  drop out of class the day they recieved a $2000 pell grant check fro the semester.

Personally pisses me off... But hey I'm a racist for thinking that way,,,,

A father and son, each have a number of cows.

The father says give me one of your cows and I will have twice as many as you.

The son says give me one of your cows and then we will have the same number.

How many do each of them have?

I have  met three people that could solve this one.  My father, college professor.   And two engineers.

I think Crow means his father who is a college professor is one and the other two are engineers. Total of 3 people.

I don't see anyone taking a shot at Karen's question.  In the 7-1/2 minutes she lost on the vid she could have ridden 10 miles on her Valk at 80 mph. But you all knew that, right!

I guess the format of the articulation was wasted.   Sad

Chrisj got it.  Solving for two unknowns is beyond my algebra knowledge. I watched as the three figured it out on paper.  Educated people are very cool.  Y'all be safe, cya

That was my problem in school too.  I could figure out most problems but not with equations, just in my head, still got marked wrong even though the answer was correct.  So they wouldn't let me in college until I re took H.S. Algebra, it was so painful the first time I just said FORGETABOUTIT and that was that

I've forgotten more math than most people ever learn (I was going for an EE degree when I couldn't remember stuff for exams - then I switched to computer science (more applied math)). I'm pretty sure I could come up with the equations to solve that riddle.
