FB#44 Alert! Ride to West Texas...

I wasn't able to complete my ride out yonder last month due to mechanical issues... And, I just hate to leave unfinished business dangling... I have this strong desire to complete the 'mission', so I've been on the look-out for an opportunity... and fairly soon, too.

According to AccuWeather and its Month Forecast, there just might be a weather-window starting January 15th and running through the end of the month... Naturally a forecast that far out is probably going to change... Still, if I only ventured out when the forecast called for perfect weather, I'd never leave home! I think I'm going to roll the dice and see what happens... Heck, I have a rainsuit and some Gerbigs, so...

FB#44 and HG have indicated they might be interested... Any others? Many possibilities exist here... For starters, many of you are stuck up north in 'no ride' zones... HOWEVER, I do have an extra bike (VTX 1800), and someone could fly here and ride her (her name is CALI). Or, others might be able to trailer to a point (even here) and then ride their own... Naturally, those who live where they could ride their own all the way there and back, could do that, with 'meet-up' points easily arranged along the way...

Bottom line is, I'm gonna have to make this ride, and I'd love to share it with 'family' members, if possible. The specific dates, route, destinations, itineraries, motels, all the details really are negotiable and easily determined... Trust me, it's much more fun to roll with the flow and let things unfold as they will, and to adjust to things on the fly! Anybody interested? FB & HG?

I'd love to make it but this damn O2 24/7 requirement of mine makes it impossible.

Wish you could go too... always good having characters along! The 'social aspect' of riding to me is every bit as important and enjoyable as the ride itself... Guys like you always add a lot to any joint venture! No sweat, though... you just keep on focusing on making IZ15 happen, and we'll compare some notes then...

Not sure about the keeping posted nightly request, unfortunately... I have a congenital techno shunt in my thinker muscle, and my current laptop doesn't have a port for dial-up access... Reckon I'm finally going to be forced to look into WIFI... If I am unable to pull that off, I'll post up about the ride when I return.

As for having fun and enjoying... No one can guarantee future outcomes (except politicians, of course), but that has always been the result of any road trip I've ever taken... I have no reason to expect anything different this time. Thanks, though, for the well wishes!

Don't worry about my request, just be yourself and enjoy to the fullest.

I'll be a riding along somehow or somewhere anyway, maybe in your hind pocket.   LOL.    BUT, if I can pull it off, I'll be a tryin to do so.  God willing and the creek she no rise.

I'm afraid InZane is not going to be possible.

Double Dang, Dude!!! Really sorry to hear about the no-go on IZ! Feces does occur, I reckon... Hmmm, reckon we might be able to hook up for a meal in Des Moines? After reading your last, a thought occurred to me... Like perhaps I and some others could swing through there on our way out, get a room someplace, and meet you at a local restaurant fer some vittles and BS'n and such...

Naturally, I would definitely NOT want to tarnish your sterling reputation, so if you'd rather not, I would understand... I mean, what if your friends, family or other associates were to see you consorting with... you know... biker folks and such...?  lol 

As for your request and WIFI and such... I sent a PM to one of my old Florida buds, and he's a for real techy dude... If anybody can get me hooked up, it would be him! At the moment I'm rather optimistic about my prospects...

The weak link in all that, of course, would be yours truly being able to follow directions... and that can indeed be a daunting task, even for Thunderbolt!!! We'll have to wait and see, but... it ain't beyond the realm of possibilities... not probabilities, but possibilities for sure.

Hey. anytime ya'll wish to come through Des Moines, your Motel room for the night is on me.  I'd have ya stay at the house but with only 1 bedroom now, mom might not like sharing.    LOL.

When we got rid of the last daughter, we done did some converting and ended up with one bedroom.    One bedroom house is hard to sell, but after I;m under the sod, I wouldn't give a crap on trying to sell it.

I'd break bread with you anytime Buddy.      I'm always hungry.   How else do you think I keep this girly figure?
