Some of the ones I remember:
2005 Honda VTX1800R - 145 mph
2004 Yamaha R1 - 170-ish mph
2013 Victory Hardball - 110 mph (tank slap, stock suspension, front end)
2014 Honda Valkyrie - 125-ish mph (yup, speed limited)
2002 Honda CBRF4i - 115 mph (blow out, crash, but I have video of it because I had a tank mounted camera!)

For what the speedo was worth, 118 on my $995 70 Mach 1 Kaw.  My 73 Z1, 123. That ole Mach 1 at that speed was like riding on a
wet noodle. Young and dumb. Folks look at the Valk speedo and ask how fast will she go? 100, that's all ? That's all with me on her I say.

I'm not certain that I was mentally present during this moment.  Secondarily, I'm not entirely certain whether it was a GPS error or an accurate recording.  I was passing a line of freighters in West Texas at the time.

I've slowed down some since.  About a year and a half ago I came off the back on my Interstate as near as I can tell at somewhere near eighty miles per hour.  I landed on the asphalt on my face and the last memory I have for a couple of weeks is the bike going into what I interpreted as a high speed wobble, tank slapper.  Later view of the wrecked bike would indicate I likely lost rear inflation very rapidly.  I've no real interest in revisiting that experience.  These days I'm not likely to push the Valkyrie to its maximum speed.  I have regularly traveled into triple digits and that's good enough for me.

I apologize for throwing a sort of wet blanket on the discussion.

My brother and I were thinkin bout Lacrosse Wi. that Sunday morning on an Illinois 2 lane when we came up on a group of motorcyclists not running quite as fast as we were!  Roll Eyes My brother-da prez-was in the lead and as soon as I heard his lady snarl a bit I was right in his wake. I KNOW it was a big group but didn't take no time at all to git around!  coolsmiley Got behind the same group again after our fuel stop but they found out hills were NOT helpful to their cause with only 2 cylinders!  Lips Sealed And dats all I gots ta say bout dat!  cooldude RIDE SAFE.

Coming back to hotel from Key West and hit 7 mile bridge 2:30 in the morning, nothing to drink with my lady on the back of 2k IS.Could not see any headlights either direction and asked her if I could go for it,O h&ll yeah. Both leaned forward and rode each gear out, figured had 7 miles to play, watched the speedo click 136 a few times and that was all she would do.Awsome to do that kind of speed and feel confidant on the Dragon the whole way.A little older and slower now But will still keep up with anybody that I have too.Thats my story and I'm sticking to it.Still own the 2K IS.
