Honda's made something similar since 2002, ST1300. I couldn't tell what a MV4 vs MV4R is but the MV4 says 125 hp. Which is more then likely at the crankshaft. I found one site that said $9000 for a just basic engine. No idea if that includes the fuel system and exhaust system.

Pretty much what a ST1300 does in crankshaft horse power and I paid $10,500 for a new street legal 3 year warranty bike with wheels and seats and all that stuff.  Smiley

I wonder how fast a stock ST1300 could go at the salt flats with the right tires etc?

I've seen 155 on my speedo and that was with my bulky body on board, full saddlebags and a full trunk attached.

I remember seeing or hearing, I think,  one was ridden to the salt flats, raced, after removing the mirrors, and  maybe something else.  Set a speed record, and then was ridden back to the factory.  Anyone else???  Or am I flasfbacking again?

I've been blogging on this since January of 2010.

Proud of their bikes

They're interesting bikes, but crazy overpriced. And of course, as you can tell from my blogs, it's that Katech engine with the the gasoline direct injection that really grabs my imagination. I'd love to see it put in a heavy cruiser.

I would take the St or CTX engine over that thing.  After 100k the ST/CTX engine is just getting broke in.  The other one is probably dead by then.

Love the concept, not real impressed with the styling but, it might grow on me.   Would like to take a 100 mile test ride one though.

I like the looks of the dyno chart.  Notice it puts out over 100 ft-lbs of torque from about 3200 rpm until the redline.
I think they will lose some sales because it has chain final drive instead of a shaft.
