I didn't agree with the call on the NON controlled catch.  That call needs to be addressed off season since he obviously took 3 steps after the catch and somewhat reached out to the endzone enough to make it A CATCH for sure.  He had control when he hit the ground.

Sucks that 1 call has to decide the game though for the Cowboys would have scored and won the game if the call would have gone their way.

My non-educated 2 cent prediction:  whomever wins next week between Pack and Hawks,
Seahawks pretty sure will be favored, will win the SUPER BOWL.  Pretty sure it will be Patriots vs. Seahawks, but would love to see an upset with da Pack over the Hawks.

I think both teams can beat the Patriots and with Tom Brady's NO give up and WILL WIN attitude,  the Broncos or Colts will loose.

The call was easy and correct.  Unlike on a run, on a pass you must control the ball all the way to the ground (it can hit the ground and even move, but it cannot come loose, as it did).  On a completed pass (unlike a run) the ground does cause a fumble.  He needed to secure the catch at all costs (for the team), not go for the (personal) glory of the goal line.  Had he done so, the Cowboys likely win.

The picked up flag against the Lions was wrong (but the other 3 penalties against the lions following that were righteous).  Dallas got a game-winning freebie in the flag pickup, but it didn't go their way today.

Courageous play by Aaron Rogers.  Hated to see the 'boys lose, but hope Green Bay does well against the Seahags.

Plus they blew the call on the Cobb catch. Ball hit the ground.

Agree with Popeye as well since both calls, in my eyes, were wrong.

Jess from VA,  Bryant from the cowboys did extend his arm somewhat to the goal line, thus according to the rules,  it should have been a completed catch.  The refs and commentator ref didn't see it that way, but I did.    I mean 3 steps after the catch and having control with the ball extended forward reaching for the end zone plus the ball did go up but landed on top of HIM NOT on the ground like the call last year with the Lions since the Lions WR did loose control of the ball after the catch and totally lost the ball in the end zone touching the ground.  Completely different scenario in my eyes, but what do I know?

Gotta admit,  if the Cowboys would have scored making it 28-26 in favor of da boyz,  would have been even more interesting to see da Pack attempt to go say 50-70 yards in 2 minutes to kick the game winning field goal or score a TD to win the game.

Either way, great game as most of the games have been this season.  The Pack better be on their game 100% in order to beat the Seahawks hoping the Hawks get overconfident and too cocky.

On those catches (or non catches) The call was right, its the rule that sucks.  They were incomplete passes by rule.  The NFL tends to make their rules very technical, removing most wiggle room for judgment.  So in these two catches where the receiver clearly had control as he went to the ground.  They had no allowance to use judgment and call it a catch, the ball came out, no good.  Right call

Rogers had better get that tender calf taken care of in a week, the legion of boom in Seattle will exploit that weekness early and often.

Not exactly. The wiggle room could have been his 3 steps and reaching out for the goal line could have been called a "football move". Water under the bridge now  Undecided

Call was correct by rule. Ball clearly hit the ground in continuation of the play.

I'm with Meathead on this clearly was a football move.  Plus, the ball that went up in the air came back down on him and NOT the ground, thus a completed catch.  If the ball would have come down on the ground vs. his hands, it would be incomplete.    Water under the bridge like said though, oh well.

Good game,  maybe Aaron Rodgers needs to go to a accupuncture place to make miracles happen since he will be needed to scramble more so against the hawks quicker defense even better than the Cowboys.

Every season and more so in the playoffs bad calls are a part of the sport landscape. And NOT just in the N F L. With all these new modern electronics and the science of it getting better every day won't be long til the computer is making the calls. AND I hope I'm WRONG on computers calling any game. I've been to Pro Base Ball games and a couple of college football games. Seen bad calls in person-while watching the tube-and on Sports Center. As long as Humans are calling the game mistakes WILL be made. Course I'm NOT saying computers will be ANY better. Want bad calls on a summer weekend? Go to your local dirt track and after a yellow flag watch the fun of trying to get drivers lined up for a restart!  2funny Watch some of the home base umps call a game. Some of them have a strike zone I could hit. Some have a strike zone Randy Johnson would have a hard time with. No matter HOW much training a zebra gets in the end they ARE Human. RIDE SAFE.

I try not to let those bad calls get to me, but I do if it keeps up, especially not close calls, but just horrible bad calls in general.  In high school last baseball game of the year in sectionals,  I tagged out as catcher the opposing team guy coming home trying to take me out.  I saw his smerk on his face and me being bigger, he thought his head of steam would take me out.  Well,  I charged at him while he charged at me about 6' in front of home plate.  I tagged him out with BOTH of my hands with ball in my mitt and threw him on his butt behind homeplate.  I was waiting for the call as an out, but no call,  he jumped onto home plate and ump called him safe.   I yelled at ref asking if he was blind the entire crowd was yelling as well.  I appealed the call from 2nd base ump to no avail.  I got ejected out of the game continuing arguing, fine with me.  Our coach after that since other seniors were arguing as well on horrible calls, took all 3 of us out of the game loosing as well, oh well.   We weren't going anywhere anyways.

Similar instance after high school playing summer baseball leagues and underhand fastpitch as a catcher.  I got so sick one time on my uncle, no less,  as homeplate ump calling all balls when I was NOT even moving my glove  surely were all strikes.  I even moved to the side holding my mitt in place and moved the mitt directly up past the plate showing him it was right in the middle of the plate and between knees and waist easily.  He told me to knock that off.  I told him call another ball when it was a strike see what happens.  He did, obviously blind as a bat, which he was needing glasses but he didn't ever admit to it.   I let after those instances, a few strikes right down the plate go past me and hit him squarely in the chest/neck/facemask.   He didn't have the balls to toss me out of the game, but probably should.  I can see letting calls go if in doubt or questionable close call could go either way, but obvious ones being obviously blind is a different story.

I quit playing softball as well since was suppose to be fun as we got older, but if you think I was obsessive on bad calls, the guys on my team questioned every single call and argued a ton with umps. They wanted to WIN at ALL costs vs. just having fun.  So much so,  I got sick of it was no fun anymore.  If a close call, I will let it slide, but my teammates wouldn't ever.

Anyways,  I thought Jason Garrett,  Cowboys head coach,  handled the questionable call with the utmost respect for the refs although you could tell he obviously thought it was the wrong one.

We are ready. It is VERY tough for any team to come up here and play. All our major players are healthy and the 12th man is a huge factor. Chancellor's interception set off another seismic event. I would love to see the Seahawks repeat against the Pats, to beat a great team like them would be awesome!
